Der Pool, der im Umweltsee liegt... die kleine Schwester, die auf der Rezeption wohnt, hat nichts zu lachen. Sie hat sie acht Tone gekostet. Die kleinen Gelder haben nicht vergessen. Sie gehen nicht ins Zimmer und warten nicht auf die kleinen Gelder.

Amazing location. In the middle of a forest and just beside the sea. Booked Jungle Chalet and the room was big and good. Found a spider in the room which was scary but I think OK for a place situated in the middle of jungle. Saw wild boars running around our room, crocodiles in the lake near hotel entrance and small animals and peacocks. Other than Yala Safari there is nothing much to do in the hotel other than swimming in the pool. Had full board and the dining experience was good. Bar service is also good.

Großartige Erfahrung. Eines der besten Hotels, in denen wir je übernachtet haben. Das Essen ist unglaublich, meine Frau ist glutenfrei und hat Zöliakie, daher wird sie sehr krank, wenn sie glutenhaltige Lebensmittel isst. Der Chef des Restaurants, ich glaube, sein Name war Dilshan (bitte entschuldigen Sie, wenn das falsch ist), war hervorragend, er gab sich alle Mühe, alle Mahlzeiten durchzugehen, wobei ich angab, welche glutenfrei waren, und stellte sogar einen Teller mit Desserts bereit, die er vom Koch speziell für sie zubereiten ließ. So ein gutherziger Herr. Der Service war phänomenal wie bei den anderen Jetwings, in denen wir übernachtet haben. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Der Strand am Hotel ist zu wellig zum Schwimmen und kann nur in der Sonne liegen. Aber nicht weit entfernt gibt es über 100 Meter einen weiteren öffentlichen Strand, an dem Sie schwimmen können. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten zum Frühstück und Abendessen vom Buffet und der Geschmack ist gut. Natürlich gibt es gelegentlich Fehler, wie zum Beispiel gegrillte zu rohe Rinderschulter. Es gibt nur sehr wenige Dinge, die Kinder unterhalten können. Es gibt ein Spielzimmer, in dem Sie zeichnen, fernsehen, Spiele spielen usw. können, aber die Wartung ist nicht sehr gut. Der Service ist im Allgemeinen gut, hieß es. Es gibt jedoch mehr Zutaten für die Show, und einige Details müssen beachtet werden. Insgesamt ist das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis durchschnittlich, und es sollte getan werden.

We loved Ananya and would recommend it very highly. The resort is in a wonderful position on a long sandy beach with only a few other resorts in sight. The staff are fantastic- very polite and helpful and friendly. The swimming pool is lovely and it is so relaxing to sit looking at the sea from the beach. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and the views from the balconies in the front are spectacular especially at night. Breakfasts are delicious - try the hoppers! We came back to Ananya at the end of our trip around Sri Lanka because we enjoyed it so much. Thank you Ananya team!

Coming off a 16 day trip that included stays at a 5 star hotel in London, both Aman properties in Sri Lanka. and Soneva Fushi in the Maldives. We have stayed previously at a similar price point in South Africa, the Netherlands, the Caribbean, and Canada. Everything considered, Amanwella rates, for us, as the best that we have stayed anywhere in the world. The important caveat is that you must have your expectations set properly — this is a mature hotel set in a tropical location. Expect heat, insects, spiders, and lizards. Some may even make their way into your room. A quick phone call to housekeeping will solve any such issue immediately, in our experience anyway. Accept this, and the hotel is likely to rate as the destination of a lifetime. For us, the staff are easily the greatest asset of the hotel, starting with the general manager of the resort, Sonam. Every day he checked in on us, usually at breakfast, but sometimes more often than that. He was easy to speak to and we felt he was genuine in every respect. We missed a connection in Dubai and arrived late in the evening (11pm); regardless, he was present at our arrival along with a full contingent of staff for welcoming! Janith, our Guest Assistant, while only 26, rated as leagues above anything else we experienced on this trip or anywhere else. He is, without doubt, a rising star for Aman. Every need was anticipated and every request acted on in a timely fashion. Janith has continued to message us on WhatsApp since our departure, checking in on the rest of trip, and we feel that we made a real friend in Sri Lanka. Dinusha, who we met at the main restaurant, well, his smile is simply contagious, and he came across as down to earth, friendly, and eager to do whatever is necessary to make our stay memorable. His memory for our preferences is impeccable, which is something we did not find elsewhere as often as we would have liked. Ruwon, often a driver for us, treated us with consideration and spoke candidly while behaving professionally at all times. Again, we feel that we made another friend here during this trip! The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and while we spent more time on activities than on the beach, I assure you this is a beach resort first and foremost and that the beach is world class. The vibe is laid back but there is no element of luxury missing. Of everything we did, the lagoon experience was our favourite activity. Highly recommended. Make time also for a private dinner at the beach club. You will not regret it. I see that that past reviewers have expressed concern about the cost of food. The solution for us was to book the Fort & Beach package which included half board, experiences, and transfer between resorts. Perfection, Amanwella. Book it and enjoy!

Mit Sri Lanka hat das Hotel außer dem Wetter und den sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern nicht viel zu tun. Nach dem Durchfahren eines schweren Eisentores ist man in einer anderen Welt. Die Anlage ist ausgesprochen gepflegt und sehr großzügig, eine sehr schöne Garten- und Poolanlage, ein hoffnungslos unterdimensioniertes Fitnessstudio, dafür ein toller Blick von hier aus über den See. Die mangelnde Größe des Fitnessstudios wird ausgeblichen durch ein riesig dimensioniertes Spa mit schönen Anwendungen. Das Essen ist reichhaltig und lecker, allerdings liegt der Schwerpunkt auf Halb- und Vollpensionsgästen. Es gibt für diese Buffet, das nur wenig Wüsche offen lässt. Die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig aber groß und sauber. Zu Fuß lässt sich von hier aus nichts unternehmen, wer ein Fahrzeug hat kann dieses Hotel problemlos wählen oder man verbringt ein paar Tage auf der „Insel“. Der Yala- Nationalpark lässt sich in dreißig Minuten erreichen.

Hotel and staff are so very accommodating. We were upgraded to the tree house which was a fun experience, overlooking the river. Room and hotel is very clean. Bed very comfortable. Pool is lovely and towels available poolside. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely and less expensive than in town. The hotel helped book us a safari and provided a boxed breakfast. Breakfast in the hotel was also delicious and lots of effort was made to accommodate by food intolerance. Highly recommend!
