Condescending tone from the staff when making inquiries over the telephone and also from the boss in person. All hotel guests are checked at the entrance, which leads through the guest garden, and asked what they want here (feeling to pass a check-point all the time) - even after having checked in. After asking the reception in advance whether it was permitted to sit in the guest garden as a hotel guest, we wanted to do just that. However, we were asked by the boss standing there in a harsh tone, “Kann Ihnen "jemand" helfen?/Can "somebody" help you?”, not to explain what this sounds like. Then we were seated elsewhere arguing that table would be reserved for the evening. Commenting that it was only afternoon and that we'd just plan to have an ice-coffee staff replied these guests would show up shortly (which they didn't). The ice-coffee we then had was the worst ever. It contained ice-blocks within the ice cream. I guess that's why it costed "only" € 10,--. In addition, the boss loudly pointed out mistakes to his restaurant staff (uncomfortably audible for guests) while he busily drove his golf buggy up&down the side of the guest garden. After check-in, our guest book sheet and associated data were open at the reception until departure (6 hours later) and could be viewed by everyone (no sense for data protection in this place). The towels were obviously from another hotel in Vienna (The Ring) - maybe some sort of recycling policy here after that hotel had been closed. The whole hotel area we have seen made a quite "cheap" impression, starting with unsharp cut carpets and ending with a musty smell in the aisle. When we asked whether we could cancel breakfast (as we wanted to leave as early as possible), they agreed but of course deducted the guest taxes - but instead of €3, €5 was withheld. This should have been a (positive) memorable stay for our 30th anniversary, instead we checked-out of this place around midnight after we had a nice evening somewhere else.
