Stayed Xmas eve Xmas day Boxing day ..upstairs, beautiful, peaceful yet handy to everything.... Kitchen, cooking, pantry supplies exemplary, as were beds, views, gardens, flora and fauna. Best hosts hospitality and Plunger coffee yet!!! A cleanliness rarely experienced anywhere! Advertising photos rang true!! We travelled by public transport, were met at bus stop, our luggage and food etc..all put in rooms and fridge for when we arrived as we spent awhile in town . Upon departure they walked us and luggage to bus stop... You will enjoy the warmest host Jamie and Vanessa, such a delightful combo. Many thanks Annie Ebzery

We had the room on top level of the house. Vanessa and her son have a fantastic venue here! All reviews for 2024 are accurate, so not going to repeat here. If you book directly, a 10% discount is applied rather than through third party sites. Bird feeding in back yard late afternoon - funny watching the antics of different species as they fight for the seeds! Nice touches : in the kitchen - have a glass if complimentary port each night, in the bathroom - facial cleanser and cleanser wipes.

We had a perfect stay at The Amble. The space was modern, comfortable, and spacious, with everything we could possibly need. We loved the views from the balcony, overlooking horses, cockatoos, and beautiful trees. The property is located on a quiet, charming street, just minutes by foot from the start of the Hahndorf strip. Vanessa was warm and helpful. We will definitely stay again!

We had a lovely 4 night stay in "Amble Over" a really spacious and well equipped apartment on the 1st floor overlooking the garden and all the cockatoos and colourful birds. Well located just a few hundred metres from the main street on Hahndorf. Bed was very comfortable and we slept well! Vanessa and Jamie were very helpful and even sourced a bike pump for us so that we didn't have to bring one from overseas - thank you.

AMAZING! Absolutely loved our stay. Private, clean and the hosts thought of everything. We stayed at the upstairs apartment. Spacious rooms and nature right at your balconies. Short walk to main street Hahndorf. I will definitely recommend and am looking to book my next stay with them.

Vanessa could not do enough for us. The accomodation was very clean and well set out. Little extras made us feel at home like port racks, milk, cereal. And easy walk to the main street of Hahndorf. The gardens were beautiful . 2 full days would be ideal

Stayed in Spa unit and have been now twice. The Spa was a large area and an excellent facitlty with all domestic items on supply and backed up, unlike many rentals. The bed firm and easy sleep. Good size bedroom and not a shoe cosest size. Bird life at the door is a feature and the surrounds quiet. Hosts are pleasant and very experienced The main street is about 800 metres down a slight hill and good off street parking. Spa not used but OK if thats your scene. Ate most meals at the unit and great to cook. An empty field boarders one side. Nice. The large appartment is one floor up and so spacious and big. But have not stayed in it. All round one of the better stays in a long line. Ross

I had a comfortable stay, friendly introduction by the host and found that all 'the little details' were thought of. Walking distance to Hahndorf's main street. Highly recommend this cosy, charming cabin.

My wife and I had a wonderful week at the Amble cottage. It is obvious that Vanessa and Jamie work so hard to attend to every detail to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. It is so peaceful and the location could not be bettered. Beautiful country views from our cottage yet within easy walking distance from centre of town.

What a lovely set up, from the friendly host Vanessa to the beautiful, well appointed apartment. Vanessa seems to have thought of everything you could possibly need. From fresh milk and water cooling In the fridge, to lovely cuddly blankets either end of the couch for snuggling up in when you watch TV. Waking up to the birds feeding in the garden every morning was a lovely sight to watch from Amble Over veranda. Very close to town, walkable and very reasonably priced. Very clean and super comfortable bed. Would not hesitate to recommend and really hope to be able to stay here again.

We had such an amazing time staying in one of the beautiful cottages. It was such a lovely quiet area and only a short walk in to town. Vanessa was very helpful and we loved chatting with her. We loved sitting outside having a cuppa and watching the birds in the gorgeous gardens. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our very relaxing stay. We could not fault anything about the place and would happily come and stay again when we are in the Adelaide Hills
