Didn’t stay at Marine but had an awesome experience with food, drinks and entertaining golf both on grounds and nearby. My kids adored the putting green out back. The interior bar is cozy and the outdoor terrace is a great place to unwind on a nice day. Well worth a stop if in N Berwick!!

Das Abendessen, B&B-Paket auf Angebot. Freundlich willkommen vom Manager, der auch unsere Taschen auf unser Zimmer brachte. Unser Zimmer überblickte die herrlichen Gärten, obwohl das Wetter sie nicht zu ihrem Besten zeigte. Wir genossen eine Tasse Tee in der Bibliothek neben dem schüttelnden Feuer. Das Abendessen war eine absolute Freude! Als Valentines wurden wir mit einem leckeren Champagner-Cocktail aus Geheimgarten Gin und Rose Champagne vorgestellt. Wir hatten dann einen Spaß-Mund, einschließlich geräucherter Lachs und Kaviar und ein kleiner Schildkröten. Mein Kräftenstarter war absolut wunderbar. Die Zutaten, die mit dem Kräften gingen, führten zu den frischsten Geschmacksempfängern, die in den Mund gebrochen wurden. Für den Hauptschwein wurde serviert. Das war das schönste Schwein, das ich je gekostet habe, da es feucht und succulent war und buchstäblich gefallen, als er geschnitten wurde. Auch die Begleitungen funktionierten perfekt mit diesem Gericht. Ein Vorschluck wurde serviert, der wieder nicht fehlgeschlagen werden konnte. Die Hauptdessert selbst von heißen Apfelsohle mit einem Karottensaft und Mango-Sorbet wurden von uns beide gefallen, obwohl wir denken, wir konnten nicht schaffen, etwas anderes zu essen! Das war nicht das Ende des Essens, da Kaffee mit einigen kleinen Fässern angeboten wurde. Ich muss sagen, dass das ganze Essen eines der besten, die ich seit langem hatte, und ich kann den Koch nicht hoch genug loben. Insgesamt ist das Hotel ein schönes Hotel mit wunderschönem freundlichem Personal und ich empfehle es jedem. Ich weiß, dass viele Berichte sagen, das Hotel ist ein wenig ”müde”, aber das ist ein ziemlich altes Manor-Stil-Gebäude mit seinem eigenen besonderen Charme, das für mich ideal ist.
