"Wunderbarer Aufenthalt Unser drei Nachtaufenthalt begann mit Problemen. Das Hotel wurde doppelt reserviert und wir konnten nicht für die zweite Nacht untergebracht werden. Glücklicherweise fand der Besitzer uns ein hervorragendes Resort für diese Nacht und führte uns dorthin und zurück. Der Besitzer, seine Frau und das gesamte Personal waren absolut erstaunlich. Wir haben im letzten Jahr viel Reisen gemacht und diese Gruppe von Menschen war die freundlichste von weitem. Zu einem Punkt der Reinigung verlor meine Frau einen Diamanthörer im Zimmer. Wir fanden es nur nach dem Umdrehen des Zimmers oben nach unten. Das Zimmer war spotless! . Als wir uns an der Zeit, um die Besitzer zu überprüfen, gab uns einen Kuchen für unser Geburtstag. Große Gastgeber und Hoffnung, sie wieder zu sehen."

"I stayed at Manggadiwa Resort Hotel & Spa from April 4–5, 2026 and booked three “Panobolon Suite” rooms. This turned out to be one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had. First, the room listing is misleading. The booking page clearly indicates a capacity of four guests, yet upon arrival we were told only two guests are allowed per room. We were then charged ₱2,500 per extra person. This is not a minor detail—it directly affects booking decisions and should be clearly disclosed. Second, the check-in process was unacceptable. We arrived at 12:00 PM and requested early check-in. We were told rooms might be ready by 2:00 PM, yet we were only checked in at 3:30 PM—later than the standard check-in time. There was no apology, no explanation, and no effort to accommodate the delay. Third, one of the rooms did not match what was advertised. Instead of a proper bed, it had a sofa bed. This was never disclosed, and no compensation or acknowledgment was offered. Charging full price for a downgraded sleeping arrangement is unacceptable. Service was consistently slow across the entire stay. Food orders took an unreasonable amount of time: Finger foods took around 30 minutes Poolside service was equally delayed Dinner was ordered at 5:00 PM with a requested serving time of 7:30 PM, yet it was only served at 9:00 PM Because of this delay, we were unable to order additional items since the restaurant and bar both closed at 8:00 PM—which is unusually early for a resort. This defeats the purpose of staying at a leisure property. Finally, despite the delayed check-in and multiple service failures, staff still came to our room to strictly remind us of checkout time. No consideration, no flexibility, and no attempt to make up for the inconvenience. Overall, this stay was a complete letdown. Between the misleading information, poor service, and lack of accountability, the experience did not justify the cost at all. I have had significantly better service at lower-cost accommodations. I strongly urge management to review: Accuracy of their listings Staff training and service efficiency Basic guest handling and recovery protocols Until these issues are addressed, I would not recommend staying here."

"Santiago was a great host beyond my expectations. I got sick and he even visited me in the hospital! The next day, my girlfriend, her mom and I went out on his fishing boat to see the beauty of the island for a very good price. His back patio is so beautiful that I would have been satisfied to just have a day there. He’s also got a beautiful mangrove in the backyard facing a gorgeous stretch of ocean.
