DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is HORRIFIC. The hotel was not very clean for a Hilton brand - it felt more like a semi-clean MOTEL. It was NOT Hilton-level clean. The white fridge was not even wiped off and was a dark egg-shell white color. When we got back to the hotel after dinner around 11pm, the shower did not work. When we told the night clerk (Don), he said "There are no rooms available to move to, but he could get us into a clean room to shower and stay in our current room". I was annoyed with that suggestion because it was so late, but the hotel had rooms available because the parking lot was not even at 30% capacity, and I could book a room through my Hilton app. After 15 minutes, I called back, and the night clerk came to the room to bring us to the room across the hall. THIS ROOM WAS OCCUPIED WITH GUESTS' PERSONAL ITEMS AND A HALF-EATEN BURGER!!! I told the night clerk that we did not feel comfortable showering in someone else's room, even if the guests were not in the room currently. I told him to please have another room prepared for us that is clean and without guests currently occupying the room. After 5 minutes, guests were coming in and out of the room across the hall. We confronted those guests and told them that the clerk let us in their room. They said that the hotel staff came into their room 3 times the night before and several times that day. We went to the check-in desk and checked out with a full refund. The clerk was nice about it and understood why we wanted to leave with a refund, but he was not trying to resolve the problem and his actions by taking us into an occupied room were insane!! We decided to book another hotel close by and had a fantastic and clean stay. I would never stay at this Homewood again and would highly recommend the Tru by Hilton Coppell DFW Airport North located at 1560 Point W Blvd, Coppell, TX 75019. The staff at the Tru could not believe our experience at the Grapevine Homewood. PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THIS HOMEWOOD SUITES!!!
