Stayed for 2 nights on a room only basis. Spotlessly clean and very friendly staff. Rooms have a good mini fridge, and there is a kitchen next to Reception with a kettle, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Bus stop outside goes to the Alhambra for €1.40. Good selection of bars outside the hotel, and about a 10 minute stroll to the Cathedral, or Bib Rambla all on the flat. At the start of the narrow road to the hotel is a roundabout. Here is the Marquis’s sister hotel - great for breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bread, coffee and a large bowl of fruit & yogurt will set you up for the day for under €10. Just around the corner you can catch the C32 bus to Albaicin for €1.40. Lovely views going up a very steep climb. Get out at St Nicolas Square at the top. There are a couple of cafés next to the square where you can enjoy a coffee or beer, with the most amazing views of the Alhambra, then catch the bus or walk downhill (about 20 mins) back into the centre. We were worried about driving and parking in Granada, so we parked up in a little town outside of Granada, called El Fargue (coming in from Murcia), and caught the N8 bus in. Cost €1.40, and travels down the only main road through every hour, just after the hour, to Jardines del Triunfo, which is the other end of the main Gran Via de Colon - a 15 min flat stroll from the hotel, or a 5 min taxi ride. N8 bus returns to El Fargue from the same place at half past the hour. Saved the stress and expense of driving and parking in the City. Very successful. We will certainly do it again, and we will also stay at the Marquis Urban again.

We missed visiting the Alhambra in '96 because we were getting ready for the Dakar Rally and ran short on time. So, this time we decided to do it right and stay nearby. Extremely comfortable and clean rooms, relentlessly helpful staff and an wayback-machine ambiance. Kind of olden-day, grand hotel. It is only a few minutes walk to the Alhambra - and no big uphill trudge.

The hotel has 2 strong sides: the location, and the staff. I must mention the Front Desk staff, very friendly and accommodating, with quick check in, and check out process. Whoever owns the place, has to bear in mind that even the most amazing staff will, sooner or later, stop covering up any other failures. Good staff members will start leaving the place for a better one as they will be ashamed to work at such a crappy place. I come from the hospitality industry, and I can clearly identify problems in the hotel, which is a low budget given by the owner/owners, or poor management. CLEANLINESS: In my opinion housekeeping staff is not given enough time to clean the rooms properly. When we checked in, the bed tables, including the phone, were literally covered with dust. Therefore there were ants in the room, and the bathroom ceiling and walls were full of mould. I don't understand, nowadays you can easily get environmentally friendly detergents for the mould, and for ants. BREAKFAST BUFFET QUALITY: Even though the variety of products was very wide, the quality was incredibly poor. The cheapest stuff that would be normal to get in the hostel or student sort of accommodation, but not in the 4 star hotel. Very bitter, and burned coffee from the self service coffee machine (1 out of 2 was out of order by the way), green clumps in scrambled eggs, and totally green, not ready to eat bananas.... All these should not be served in the 4* hotel. AMENITIES: We were quite surprised there was no ironing board in the room, normally there are 4* hotels. We asked Reception around 11pm about the possibility of getting it to the room, but the Night Receptionist was clueless where he could find it, and asked to come back in the morning. This situation should not happen as the night shift members should be most experienced, and most aware of all the hotel aspects. We could not wait to do ironing until the morning so I had to do it on the bed. Thank God we had an iron in the car so I was able to prepare our outfits for the wedding the following day.

Wir waren im Juli/August 12 Tage in Granada, das Hotel hat uns das Leben sehr erleichtert. Wir hatten es eigentlich wegen der Nähe zur Wohnung unserer spanischen Verwandten ausgesucht, unsere hohen Erwartungen (darf man bei 4 Sternen ja wohl haben) wurden übertroffen. Angenehm schon die Lage: Nahe der Jardines del triumfo, zur Kathedrale zu Fuß knapp 30 Minuten. Granada ist an sich anstrengend: VielKultur, viel Ethik aus der Zeit der Mauren, viele Touristen, das alles stürzt auf einen ein, mental und sehr real. Da ist es schön, etwas am Rande zu wohnen, Ruhe zu haben und Bares , Bodegas und Restaurantes in der Nähe zu wissen, wo fast nur Einheimische sind. Und wenn man müde ist, vom Taxistand an den Jardines aus zur Plaza Nueva, genau unter der Alhambra, zahlt man 5€, nicht mehr. Das Zimmer war praktisch: riesiges Bett, großer, innenbeleuchteter Kleiderschrank, Schreibtisch für alle Döschen, Bücher, etc, gute Klimaanlage. Das Fenster ging auf einen großen Hof, wir empfanden das eher als angenehmen Blick in das Leben der Einwohner. Gute Nachttische und Nachttischlampen. Im Bad sehr viele Abstellmöglichkeiten. Das Hotel ist groß, hat aber auch drei Aufzüge. Das Personal ließ uns völlig in Ruhe, half andererseits , wenn wir etwas brauchten. Wir hatten das Gefühl, ein eigenes kleines Apartment in Granada zu haben. Und bei den Sommertemperaturen hatten wir das auch nötig. Es gibt ein Frühstücksbuffet und eine Bar, aber ein Tipp: Man kan auch links vom Eingang oder 100m rechts in kleinen Bares frühstücken, das ist einfach, aber gut (z.B. Kaffee, Toast mit Butter/Marmelade oder Tostada mit Tomate und Olivenöl, dazu ein Glas frischgepresster Orangensaft für 5-6€, das ist nicht überteuert.) Wir haben für 12 Nächte 92o€ gezahlt, das ist nicht billig, für die Qualität aber auch mehr als fair. Teuer werden extras wie Traingsgeräte, Beauty,... . Das Schwimmbad auf dem Dach ist gratis, hat sogar einen Lift für Menschen mit Behinderung. Das Hotel hat wohl eine eigene Garage, sonst gibt es eine riesige Garage unter der Avenida (nicht günstig, aber gut). Wir werden sicher wieder hier wohnen, wenn wir wieder in Granada sind.

Dieses Hotel hat keine Seele. Es ist eine dumme und dreary Lauf des Mill Hotels. Wir haben für zwei Nächte am 15. Mai und 16 2023 geblieben. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber das Hotel bietet keinem Niveau. Wir hatten ein superer lustiges Zimmer mit Balkon. Es kann am besten als durchschnittlich bezeichnet werden, mit der Zugabe von Badekleider. Absolut nichts zu schreiben zu Hause. Kleines Zimmer mit einem komfortablen Bett. Es gibt keinen Loungeraum zu reden und die Bar hat ein Straßenkaffee Gefühl für sie.

Found it easily. The staff were very helpful. The room was very clean and a good size and the bathroom was very roomy. The bed was enormous but, as is often the case, it was 2 large single pushed together and not one double mattress. However given the size of each that wasn’t too much of a problem. The room safe is not secured to a wall but screwed to a panel in the wardrobe. It could have easily been removed had anyone got into the room. Also there was no kettle in the room but that is not unusual these days. The hotel restaurant was good and well priced with a range of interesting dishes and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel was only 10 minute stroll from the final stop of the airport bus which was great.

Fatal, ziemlich enttäuscht über das Zimmer, hier gibt es keine Seele, zwei gehütete Menschen, das Bad in drei Teile im Zimmer, eine Dusche, deren Tür direkt zum Zimmer gibt, die Waschmaschine, die im Zentrum des Zimmers ist, und eine Toilette mit einer Mindesttür, die, wenn du ein wenig breit bist, nicht reinstehst. Zusätzlich mussten wir das Mädchen darauf hinweisen, dass nach dem WC eine Tüte (nicht unsere) war und ich ging es rein, aber das Bett, wie wir kamen, besser geschluckt, nicht zu wissen, dass ... In dem Frühstück nichts anderes als ein Typ, Sie haben keine Milch ohne Lactose, und die Menschen bringen ihre eigenen Nahrung, logisch, denn das ist aus der Hand Gottes verloren, und hier gibt es Sonntags keinen Ort, um zu essen. Die Behandlung war gut, aber meine Rücken und die meiner Partner sind gebrochen, wir können nicht mehr, und wir haben einen Portfolio mit Dokumentationen verloren.

Très bon hôtel. Les chambres et la salle de bain sont calmes, de bonne taille. La clim fonctionne et est opérationnelle même si nous n'en avons pas eu besoin car les nuits sont encore fraîches en avril. Nous avions une terrasse privée avec transat et table de jardin. Literie confortable. Petit déjeuner plus que correct au regard du prix. Personnel sympathique. Nous n'avons pas utilisé le parking à 5€ car notre Suv de Loc ne rentrait pas dans les places. Mais places dispo dans la rue juste dessous.

Wir gingen nach Granada, um ein paar Tage zu verbringen, und das Hotel nach draußen schien uns eine gute Idee. Es ist in einem Geschäft mit Restaurants umgeben. Die Busshalte in der Nähe, um in das Zentrum von Granada zu gehen. Das komfortable und saubere Hotel. Das außergewöhnliche Bett. Sehr gute Aufmerksamkeit. Sie können jederzeit kostenlos Kaffee und Tee trinken. Wir haben kein Essen oder Frühstück im Hotel gemacht, weil wir den ganzen Tag ausgegangen sind. Sie hat kostenlose Parkplätze.
