This is mine and my children's 4th visit in 12 months to koala the rooms are lovely and bright 🌞 food is ok always something to find and I have a 2 fussy eaters 🤣 . what makes our stay and keeps us coming back is the entertainment team they truly are outstanding the way they care for everyone. Kids club is a house of fun from soft play face painting cooking dancing and movies and whatever else the kids want to do or think up nothing is a bother to the team. The night time entertainment is a mix of mini disco games or outside shows once upon a time is amazing. They is never a night where you don't have fun. a massive shout out to Sheila nothing is a bother to her the bind she has with the children is amazing and she will do anything to see all children smiling and happy ❤️❤️❤️ also a shout out to Claudia who never fails to make us laugh and get us to join in ❤️ we will see you all very soon

Currently still here on holiday on day 4. On our first night in the hotel after getting up at 4am and arriving at 4pm we were obviously quite tired so myself, partner and 2 children, 5 and 10, decided to get to bed around 10pm, however the evening entertainment decided that we were not allowed to go to bed as music was going to thump untill 11.30 even tho it was supposed to finish at 11pm, we then had to endure another hour of noise and banging in all the rooms around us and we ended up getting to sleep around 1am, with both children in tears and ended up all sleeping in one bed. We spoke to reception and asked if we could move rooms as ours was right infront of the evening entertainment area, it took them 2 days to try and arrange another room for us which eventually never happened and we are still stuck infront of the entertainment area. We have now accepted that this is it and are making the most of it. Today we decided to make use of the kids club and put our 5 year old daughter in the club for 1 hour and filled out a form stating that the child is not to leave without a parent collecting them, after 45mins we found our daughter wandering around the main pool which it 1.75meters deep. The staff at the club had decided it was ok for her to leave on her own without informing us even though they had both our phone numbers, and it was lucky that we were still nearby and found her wandering around the pool. I am absolutely disgusted at this situation and having made a complaint to the hotel at reception but feel they did not understand the gravity of the situation and that anyone could have taken her or she could have fallen Into the pool and drowned as the life guard sits out of sight and has 3 pools to look over. A complaint has also been made to Jet2 and I am waiting to hear from the rep about this situation. But, heres the best part, we have now read a recent review that this is not the first time this has happened. Absolutley diabolical, the kids club should be shut down until their staff are fully trained how the read a form that says "DO NOT LET MY CHILD LEAVE THIS FACILITY WITHOUT A PARENT" Onto the positives, the entertainment team are really good, there are 3 pools which are very deep 1.7m 1.3 at the shallow end, 2 are quiet and then theres the main pool where the bar and entertainment are. There is a basic splash pad and baby pool in zone 2 and, if you are not a strong swimmer i would advise bringing swimming aids, the pools are all lovely and clean and a nice temperature and seem to be cleaned daily. The astro turf get very very hot!! Its currently the beginning of the school holidays and is getting very busy, im not sure the pool areas have the capacity to handle the school holiday peak times. The rooms are a decent size, kids sleep in the front room on sofa type beds but this isnt an issue, the main bedroom has 2 singles pushed together (i dont know if this is the same for every room) they are on casters so mind the gap!

Stayed here with family two children 9 and 5 , all in all we enjoyed our stay . I'll start with my bad bits salad was great fresh and varied . But the choice of mains was terrible . Out of the 10 nights we stayed had a job finding anything to say was great . And in fact most of the time you had to wait for any meats to be cooked . As they only seem to cook a few at a time . And choice was minimal. In the local area there is nothing . Except we did use Holiday world a ten minute walk away a couple of times . 50 euros for 2 adults and 2 children . Was a fare price for what's there . They also have ten pin bowling in there which is 7 euros each . There's a few eateries inside also . And at night place livens up on terrace with live bands and lovely lit up views of fair . Inside koala area is lovely choice of pools but all quite deep , which is good if your kids can swim well but if not you will be on edge keeping an eye on them Entertainment was great we thought . Good dancers and shows most nights . Alcohol was ok same as any in aic really . All in all I think it's a lovely place with friendly staff. Just a shame about the evening none choice of food . There was some nice touches like the sweets for kids at pool bar and nachos on tap . Burgers pizza and hot dogs from about 12pm till 3pm where good . All in all great stay . Thanks koala staff

Reviews worried me. I was nervous about this hotel. I can honestly say, you get what you pay for, this is a typical 4* family all inclusive. Only complaint I would have is the uncomfortable sunbeds. Food repetitive but nice enough. Staff lovely, really helpful. Even noticed birthday cards in our room and left bubbly chilling, it was a nice touch! Shuttle busses each day which made access to the water park and dunes easy. Holiday world amazing for the kids and fantastic value. The hotel has a really chilled vibe. Would return if I was going to the same area. Lots of families there who have been year on year!

Guess you cant please everyone, but most of the bad reviews here are silly, pathetic people who pay peanuts and expect 7 star luxury. It's a good solid 4 star hotel. It's clean and tidy. The only time it's not clean is because a tourist has been disrespectful and left it in a mess. Cleaners can't be in all areas at all times. Also most of the staff speak good English and we even had a conversation with one using Google translate. Reviews saying staff don't speak English are nonsense. Food was decent with a good variety, joeys restaurant is well worth booking into for a night or more as its nice and fresh. We used the bus to Maspalomas and the waterpark which are free. We also went out for food at holiday world over the road. And there are several other restaurants within a stones throw and a spa shop 3 mins walk away. Even the cats on site are no issue and will do wonders for the rodent population! Couple of weeks before we travelled I was reading some reviews on here and thought we were in for a rough ride! But if we decide to visit again I would have no problems staying here for 2 weeks.
