The Bay Hotel

A lovely setting with views across the beach and sea at Coverack. Delicious food and drink, and the service couldn't have been better. Highly recommended. The hotel is about 100 years old, but looks like it has recently been modernised and refurbished.

I used to stay in Coverack as a child on family holidays in the 1970s so it was good to return to this beautiful village for an Easter break. The holiday farm no longer exists so my wife and I stayed in the Bay Hotel as it looked good on the website. As impressive as the Bay Hotel website it, we felt it did not do the hotel justice. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the room looking out over the bay was sensational. We loved the ambiance of the hotel which was clean and comfortable. I have never had such a good view from a hotel before. This would be sufficient for a recommendation but the hotel is run by a really warm and friendly team. There is an excellent bar with local beer (recommended) and it is easily the best place to eat in the village. The chef is a culinary genius and the cooked breakfasts far surpass anything I have had elsewhere. Even the muesli is served with creative verve ! The evening meals are good too but the breakfasts alone make staying in this hotel worthwhile. Never experienced such creativity with breakfasts before. Really delicious. We are very keen to return to The Bay Hotel later this year and hopefully see a bit more of the beautiful county of Cornwall. I think most people will accept a moderate standard of hotel but The Bay Hotel was the icing on the cake for us. We felt the team really looked after us and that this hotel was something really special. Coverack is lovely and you could not wish for a better place to stay than the Bay Hotel . Since our wedding, we often go out for weekend breaks. However, I cannot recall ever staying anywhere as good as this. Easily the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Total perfection!

Popped in for a chilled glass of wine after the beach. Stunning spot. James served us.. What a warm welcome, made to feel relaxed. Really lovely member of staff. The garden's and view's are breath taking. Thank you James for making our visit so enjoyable

We stayed at The Bay Hotel last year for a spring getaway and we were so pleased we did. We booked again this year and again had the best time.. the hotel is such a great place to stay with the best views, the nicest rooms and the friendliest staff. The breakfast is exceptional as is the fine dining in the evening. Nothing is too much trouble for the hotel and I will return just as soon as I can.. thank you so much for looking after us and Percy the Cocker Spaniel who loves you all too!!

Had the most amazing Sunday Roast in their restaurant. One of my best ever, was a lovely meal and atmosphere overlooking the sea. Would highly recommend restaurant. The lounge was lovely to sit in and relax beforehand. Thank you for the experience.

Amazing place to stay. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble. Even the late night cheeseboard! The food- wow. James the breakfast/lunch chef is fantastic. Really felt he looked after us. Even reserving a beautiful sea view table in the morning for us after meeting him down the local pub! The location is stunning, right on the coast path, offering the most spectacular coastal walks. The locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming, we will be returning. Thank you for looking after Ralphie our Spaniel, he got the same exceptional treatment we did. We will be back. Hollie, Grant and Ralphie
