Valentina Apartments

I stayed here from 29th August to 9th September and what a fabulous place to stay. I came out on my own for the first time with friends joining me for a week in the middle. Was a little nervous about being on my own but no need as Valentina, Alex and Maria all so friendly. I was in room 2 on the ground floor overlooking the olive Grove. Had a living/kitchen area, bedroom and shower room. Loads of room and storage . Towels changed regularly and beds once a week. Room cleaned daily. Food at Valentinas was lovely- beware the pizzas are massive!! The pool was a lovely chilled area, very quiet I was the only one there some days. Its about 15 minute walk to the village, 20 minutes to the beach. The barbecue night was great fun and the food delicious. For the price it was an absolute bargain and I'm really looking forward to visiting again. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. Thank you to all of you for making me so welcome. Valentina and her husband were very kind to us, nothing was too much to do. They bring breakfast and lunch around the pool or in your appartment. It was very clean, we got 3 times clean towels and the trash was cleaned every day. The food was very good and tastefull. The location is also very good as you can walk in 5 minutes to the busstation, which brings you to the airport, heraklion or to chersonissos on the other side. Other restaurants are also just a walk of 15 minutes away. It was a very good holiday and we will definitely come again!

My wife and I had a brilliant time here in a superb apartment run by lovely people and I would like to thank Valentina, Manos, Alexandra and Maria for a great 2 weeks, I did book a studio requesting an upstairs for my preference and as there were not available Valentina gave us a one bedroom apartment at no extra cost because she noted that I like being upstairs rather than ground floor, it was very clean and Maria came in every day and made sure everything was up to scratch also bed linen and towels changed regularly the apartment looked over an olive grove with views to the hills beyond so it was nice and quiet, the pool area across a small road was also superb with sun loungers for everyone. If we get back to this area we will be definitely booking these apartments and anyone thinking of booking my advice is not to hesitate book these you won't be disappointed,

We stayed in the same apartment as last October .... so overlooking olive groves and distant mountains from the balcony. From there you can observe buzzards and falcons by day and bats by night. Being in a quiet and relaxing place means you can also hear birdsong all day long. Various bars, tavernas and shops are a short walk away as are bus stops boasting a really good regular timetable for journeys all over the island at exceptionally good prices. However, it is also possible to stay at the apartments for the duration of the stay as everything needed is on site: the supermarket downstairs for fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, cheese, yogurt, 'village' bread, beers and wines, and local thyme and pine-infused honey produced by Valentina's brother-in-law. There is a good range of breakfasts including the wonderful Cretan breakfast served up by Maria. And that goes without mentioning the superb home cooking served up by Valentina herself and Alexandra based on their own Cretan recipes. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating and they like nothing more than to share stories and laughter in a mixture of English and Greek. Oh, and I almost forget to mention the swimming pool for regular dips and relaxation in the pool garden with its own snack bar. It's always difficult to leave at the end of the stay ... but great to look forward to going back.

We stayed here for a week with our two small children and had an amazing time. Such a peaceful and beautiful piece of paradise less than 10 mins to the beach which was so perfect because it’s quiet and not overly touristy, it really felt like we were welcomed and made feel so at home. The staff go above and beyond the customer service was superb. The food, wine and coffee was next level absolutely delicious and so fresh. Perfect for a family trip or just for a little romantic get away. If you are in this area it’s an absolute must visit! I read previous reviews that WiFi wasn’t great but actually the WiFi was great and we just couldn’t believe how cheap it was considering it was so lovely and the pool area was just the icing on the cake! We will definitely come back when we return to Greece!! This place is an absolute Piece of paradise! Thank you again for the hospitality and warm welcome! Already looking forward to getting back here sometime in the future! - showers are amazing -beds super comfy -staff go above and beyond -food absolutely delicious -super clean - amazing location -perfect for a relaxing getaway -just the perfect place!

My husband and I have travelled to Crete for over 14 years now and have visited at least 22 times . We book apartments through *********** months and even a year, in advance. We always choose “pay at property” option. We booked this apartment on 31st October this year (2022) for July 2023. They took the money out of my account t immediately therefore I cancelled within minutes. The property then told me that it would take UP TO 30 days for my refund. Now, 30 days later, I still don’t have my refund. When I contacted the apartments I was then told it was “UP to 30 WORKING DAYS excluding weekends and bank holidays”! Changing the policy as they go along and still no sign of my money. Firstly, will not book these apartments ever, secondly, after using for years, will not use *********** as they then said they couldn’t do anything about it as it is hotel policy. Even when I pointed out that this was not the policy advertised . Just washed their hands off of the whole thing and I am left waiting for my refund.

We originally booked to come to the apartments to arrive in May 2020 - but of course coronavirus restrictions made that impossible. Having tried to re-arrange in October 2020 then again in May 2021, it was as much a relief to us as well as Valentina that we could come at the beginning of October this year ..... so much so that Valentina kept the apartments open just for us. And what a place .... quiet, overlooking mountains from the balcony, comfortable accommodation, reasonably close to local amenities and wonderful social banter..... just booked to come back next May. What more could be said?

Hice una reserva en Booking de este apartamento pago anticipado con cancelación gratuita, el día 11.2 me cobraron por la estancia 533,40€ que cancelé en el plazo estamos a 3.4 y al día de hoy no me devolvieron el importe. 1.3. me contestaron diciendo que me devolvían el dinero según su política en 30 días laborales y al día de hoy no contestan a mis llamadas, ni a los mensajes que les envío a través de Booking. Estoy llamando a Booking a diario sólo piden documentación del movimiento, de todos los moviemientos de la tarjeta y siempre responden que tienen que dar 5 días laborales más al alojamiento para ver si hace devolución. Una tomadura de pelo tanto del alojamiento y de Booking. Evitad este alojamiento parece que es una estafa.

Een fantastische plek met alles erop en eraan!. Goede verzorging met zeer vriendelijke mensen! Ze willen het liefst dat je rechtstreeks boekt. En met contante betaling zelfs flinke korting! Appartementen achter de receptie/ winkel in een mooi aangelegde tuin.
