Elsa's Inn on the Harbor

The room was clean and neat, nicely decorated. The bathroom was clean and roomy. Overall comfortable stay. Our hostess was very personable and makes an excellent breakfast. Very nice views of the harbor. The last of the formerly operating sardine canneries is across the street, and lobster boats can be seen coming and going from the harbor.

This quiet, small B&B is perfect for a family stay! Booked the two connected rooms upstairs and had a beautiful stay. Each room has a bathroom and the larger of the two had its own entrance from the parking lot. Our hostess was so kind and so gracious! She answered all our questions about kid friendly activities in the area and made delicious breakfasts daily! The rooms here are the best value in the area and go fast. There is a lot to do and see without having to wait to get into the National park. One caution: restaurants close relatively early.

There was a warm welcome, lovely, comfortable decorated room and delicious breakfast which greeted us at the end of the road trip. It is in a great location to explore the Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia National Park.

We had a wonderful stay here a few years ago while visiting Acadia Park and Cadillac mountain. We went in the summer and the area is by the water and just beautiful! Elsa's is comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. We took home some of their homemade granola it was so good,

Wonderful stay! The hosts Jessica, Ryan and Gail are wonderful!! The rooms are comfy and absolutely adorable! We stayed 3 nights and waking up to a grand breakfast every morning! We were a group of 8 and they took such good care of us! A delightful stay!

If you are looking for a wonderful B&B run by amazing hosts in a beautiful setting this is for you. The rooms are well appointed, the hosts are friendly the view from the porch overlooking the water is peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts provided great local tips and suggestions which added to our three day experience. They have recently acquired this property and plan to improve it even more. All six of us (3 couples traveling together) agreed staying there was a highlight of our two week vacation traveling through several states chasing the fall foliage which by the way surrounded this location. Bar Harbor is nearby and an easy drive from this retreat through a beautiful countryside. The national forest surrounds this part of Maine and is beautiful. We could have stayed at this inn for another week and enjoyed ourselves. Sadly our plans dictated otherwise. My suggestion and plan is to visit often and savor the experience.

My four siblings with their spouses just spent four nights at Elsa's Inn. It is a beautiful Inn in a very scenic location and just around the corner from the Schoodic Peninsula which is one of the most beautiful places in Maine. The Inn Keepers Gail, her daughter Jessica, and son in law Ryan were wonderful, and we enjoyed our time with them, too. The Inn was perfect for our family reunion, we all had views of the water from our rooms, and they made the dining room into our family get together each night for games and just being together. The breakfast was delicious each morning and the cookies were a treat at night. Gail was full of ideas and also knew of hidden sites that we were not aware of that were stunning! We all felt very welcome and enjoyed our walks around the harbor and meeting many of the locals in the neighborhood. We never had time to spend on the patio, but it looked very inviting, but there were too many places to explore in that area. The "Little Acadia" area was minus crowds, and filled with beautiful natural areas. After a ride over to Bar Harbor on the Ferry, we couldn't wait to get back to the quiet side! I miss the four days of being pampered. The morning of the fifth day I was too busy packing to go to breakfast. There was a knock at my door and when I opened the door Gail walked in with my breakfast and we were able to have our last fun discussion together until next year. You will love the area, the innkeepers, the food and the sweet Inn!
