Amber Springs Hotel

Outstanding venue to take your family on holiday, it was over and above our expectations. We were checked in by the friendly & efficient Aine who could not have been more helpful. The children loved their den & bunk beds, I loved the privacy of having our own bedroom space separate from the children & we all noticed how large & spacious the bathroom was. At dinner time we were given exceptional service with prompt delivery of children’s meals & a friendly smiling face serving us- I’m sorry I forgot to ask the young man’s name but he was fabulous. The swimming facilities were spotless & lots of fun for all four of us. We hired a childminder through the hotel called Trish & she was first class, we honestly felt so safe for the two hours we went to the bar without our children. While at the bar we were served by a lovely man who is made for his job as a barman. He even recommended me a drink that I wouldn’t have ever picked myself but it was delicious (a Caribbean fizz I think it’s called) He was working alone the hour or two we were there yet he managed to serve every single customer quickly & with a personal touch for everyone. My husband & I were so impressed by him. A very genuine & friendly man whose name I don’t know (sorry!) At breakfast the next morning we were served a hearty & delicious breakfast. The quality of food was amazing and I found it a lot nicer than some five star hotels we have been to in the past. There is a cinema, mini zoo, go-karts, games room for children and another for teenagers all within the grounds. The entire hotel was immaculately clean but by far it was the staff that made it an incredibly enjoyable experience for us all. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know & there isn’t any doubt we will be returning in the near future. Thank you to the Amber Springs Hotel for a lovely memorable staycation.

We stayed in the family suite. The room’s mattress was rock-hard, and the bed was tiny which resulted in poor sleep. The bathroom was particularly unpleasant. There was a stale smell of urine, and upon closer inspection, I noticed the side of the toilet facing the wall was covered in various dried fluids that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The shower glass was dirty and covered in limescale, and the shower head was full of scum. I reported these issues to reception and showed them photos. The staff took my concerns seriously, promptly cleaned the toilet, and offered a complimentary bottle of champagne and wine. A manager also came to apologize. While I appreciated their quick response, encountering such poor hygiene was unacceptable and left me feeling uneasy for the rest of the stay. It made me question whether the cleaning standards throughout the hotel were superficial and only addressed visible areas. The breakfast was mediocre, with limited options for vegetarians and vegans. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and attentive to children. There were plenty of activities for kids, and our favorite was the Oasis Room. The go-karts were fun too, though I believe they should be more inclusive—every family should receive vouchers to use them each day. Overall, while the kids enjoyed the stay, as a parent, it was clear where this hotel falls short. Hygiene is the main issue, and it needs significant improvement.

Nice hotel, nicely decorated for Christmas. free parking. Comfortable large room, but the bed was a bit hard. the sauna and steam-room were excellent but could not enjoy the pool due to swimming classes. Food for evening meal was OK but not outstanding. Food for breakfast was good - self service. Animals on the petting farm were disappointing as they had very little space in the their pens. The soft play area was only OK. Not a lot available for 2 to 3 year olds.

Lovely family hotel with lots of activities for children. We stayed for 2 nights. The room was comfortable & food was very good. The staff were pleasant and well trained. Great Atmosphere for halloween break. We will definitely go back!!!!

Children enjoyed the pool and soft play. Farm is depressing overrated and dirty Hotel needs a good clean Room and en-suite dirty Food disappointing- they can’t even get chicken goujons right- Reheated and soggy. Would I return or recommend it? Absolutely not.

Room was very dirty when we arrived bearing in mind we paid approx 995euro for our stay. Had to pay for activities which we thought were included. See photos. One year old was picking up stuff from the floor that wasnt cleaned. Cups and spoons were still left from previous guests and no clean ones . Asked for gluten free chips on one evening . Few hours later we had a sick boy we couldn't figure out until Next evening ordered them again only to be told they are cooked in with gluten free food. Kids went to the cinema all exicted to buy treats. Staff member tasted popcorn and said its stale and that was that kids very disappointed no sorry etc.
