When I got there the room smelt of mould. I was told that was the smell of the cleaning products, but I am not stupid so I insisted they change the room. They did, but it was infested with ants. They were in the sink area, on the counter, in the bathroom, and around the toilet bowl. They even got into the wardrobe. I spoke to reception about it and all I got was a ”there is nothing we can do for you”. They sent someone after 2 days (as I had to wait since it was Sunday as if I hadn't paid for the weekend!) and he also said there was nothing he could do. I complained to booking.com and they told them they had upgraded me - BIG FAT LIE. Very quick to send me messages to leave reviews (here you have it!) but not to resolve issues. There was also an electrical fault that destroyed two expensive universal adapters. The hotel did nothing to compensate for this. Again ”there is nothing we can do for you” is what I got. I lost a day's pay as I could not work without a power supply, had to purchase new adapters the following day, and all they could say is ”there is nothing we can do for you”. What kind of hotel doesn't have adapters? The AC unit was exposed, the door was tricky to lock/unlock (the receptionist had to show me how to lock the door), and there is no one available at night in case something goes wrong. Lastly, the listing says daily cleaning but this is not true. You are only allowed to ask for it once in the middle of your stay and you need to request this. I did and she barely cleaned anything, just a quick vacuum and change of sheets and some towels (not all). My sincere advice as a world traveller: STAY AWAY FROM HOTEL TROPIQ. Their customer service is ZERO. Quick to take credit card details but then refuse to take responsibility for anything that goes wrong within the service. You just have to accept a ”there is nothing we can do for you”. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy!

Schöne große saubere Zimmer, viel Tee, Kaffee etc... angeboten. Personal sehr hilfreich und nichts war zu viel Problem. Raintrees Einkaufszentrum über die Straße, wo Busse alle wenigen Minuten nach der Stadt gehen, gab es sogar eine abgedeckte Wartefläche direkt außerhalb des Resorts für Tour pick-ups. Ich empfehle definitiv Palm Royale.

Wir waren eine Familie mit Kindern 3 und 7. Wir reservierten ein Dreibettzimmer, aber wir erhielten ein Quad, das schön war. Es war eine Wärmewelle, aber der Klimaanlage war super kalt. Das Zimmer und die gemeinsamen Bereiche waren sauber und einladend. Der Pool war ein großes Entkommen aus der Wärme. Es war einfach zu gehen in die Stadt und die Cairns Central Mall war über der Straße. Ich muss wieder von mir selbst kommen und ich werde hier wieder reservieren.

Warm Rezeption und sauberes Zimmer
Die warmen Cookies am Rezeption waren eine schöne Überraschung. Zimmer mit Balkon mit Blick auf das Meer und Pool war schön.
Der Kaffee hat eine anständige Vielfalt an Lebensmitteln mit vielen anderen Optionen, die auch in der Nähe verfügbar sind.
Der Fisch setzt sich in der Nacht auf, um nach dem Dunkeln eine schöne visuelle Behandlung zu geben.

Internet instabil, spätestens alle 5 Minuten fliegt man auf dem Zimmer raus. Viele kleine Schaben bzw Kakerlakenartige Tiere. Harte Federn im Bett. Sonst Zweckmäßig, kontaktloser Late Check In war super. Alles etwas abgewohnt. Flughafen in der Nähe, entsprechend hört man die Flieger, in der Nacht ab 22 Uhr wurde es aber weniger. Frühstück war in Ordnung, gegen Gebühr gibt es auch etwas warmes, Frühstücksbereich ist großzügig verteilt und es sind viele schattige Plätze vorhanden. Für eine Nacht in Ordnung, länger würde ich nicht bleiben wollen.

Ich verließ ein anderes lokales Hostel nach einer Nacht, da es nur zu laut war - ich wollte einen Ort für eine gute Ruhe, so dass ich wirklich genießen konnte alle erstaunlichen Tagesreisen in der Nähe. Dieser Ort hat nur das getan! Ich reservierte am Tag ein einziges Zimmer (teiltes Bad) und blieb für 4 Nächte - großer Wert für Geld und wirklich die Arbeit - ich hatte hier eine perfekte Ruhe. Andere Gäste waren aller Altersgruppen und waren freundlich. Das Hostel war sehr ruhig in der Nacht und setzt einige optionale Unterhaltung (Ich habe mich nicht entschieden, zu teilen und es hat mich überhaupt nicht stört). Der Pool ist klein, aber groß! Große Küchenbereich zu kochen und zu speichern. Das Personal war großartig, um mir zu helfen, Tagesreisen zu buchen, und die Lage ist fantastisch für diese (Ich habe die Große Barriere Reef, Karunda Skyrail und Daintree Reise von hier gemacht und die Lage war perfekt). Ich würde sicherlich wieder bleiben!
