Wir hatten das eher zweifelhafte Vergnügungen, Yorkshire ausgerechnet an dem Wochenende zu besuchen, als Sturm Darragh über die Britischen Inseln hinwegfegte. Nach einer abenteuerlichen Fahrt über das Moor, mit überschwemmten und blockierten Straßen erreichten wir das Hotel und mussten feststellen, dass - wie überall in Goathland - Strom- und Wasserversorgung zusammengebrochen waren. Wir haben selten einen solch warmes und herzliches Willkommen erhalten, wie an diesem Abend. Sofort nach der Ankunft bekamen wir Sandwiches und eine gemischte Käse-/Aufschnittplatte, warme und kalte Getränke, und konnten uns vor dem Kaminfeuer von unserer Fahrt erholen, sodass es fast schon schade war, als kurz darauf der Strom wieder verfügbar war. Beim Frühstück am nächsten Morgen fiel es dann kaum auf, dass die Wasserversorgung noch nicht wiederhergestellt war, dies geschah dann im Laufe des Tages. Der Staff hat routiniert und trotz der ungewohnten Stresssituation liebenswürdig und jederzeit hilfsbereit auf die auch für ihn extreme Situation reagiert, hierfür nochmals unseren herzlichen Dank. Gerne kommen wir im Januar wieder.

The hotel is under new management and they have made some refurbishments. The lounge areas have comfortable seating arrangements which are a big improvement since we last stayed. The Restaurant is bright and comfortable. Our room number 11 has recently been refurbished to a high standard. The bathroom contains a fantastic shower and large bath, quality fittings. The seating areas are comfortable with amazing views. The large comfortable bed led to a great nights sleep. The room is amazing and gave us a perfect relaxing stay. The dining experience for both breakfast and dinner was perfect, great menu options. The food cooked to perfection using quality ingredients. From arriving to leaving all of the staff have been welcoming and attentive. Special thanks to Jodie and Georgia for looking after us in the evening. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday, the flapjacks left in the room and the complimentary drink on the first evening were greatly appreciated, thank you. We have had a wonderful stay and looking forward to making a return visit soon. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel.

The most relaxing destination you could ask for in picture postcard surroundings. Super helpful staff and quality food which just creates the perfect atmosphere to relax and recharge. We've been going for 20 years or more and there is still nowhere like it.

Beautiful hotel. Lovely room, exceptionally clean with comfy bed and pillows etc. Tea and coffee with option of fresh milk if needed, little jar of the nicest home made shortbread I’ve ever tasted. Bar Food great and very friendly/efficient staff. Great variety for breakfast everything was fresh and tasty, option for complimentary glass of Prosecco, Buck’s Fizz or Bloody Mary which would be lovely for a celebration and if you weren’t driving. This was a fairly late booking at an amazing cost of £65 and we were totally delighted with every aspect of our stay and will definitely return as we often visit Goathland and areas. Mallyan Spout itself is a must see and not forgetting a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

We stayed here for our 51st wedding anniversary in a large top floor suite overlooking the garden and the moors. All the staff were friendly and helpful but we felt that Malcom really went the extra mile and stood out as a lovely man who excelled in his work and was a credit to the hotel

It was lovely to see after new management/owners , that the team who had stayed , especially , Joe and Gav made our stay as special as always, we are very spoilt by them . They made our stay very special , the staff are so nice. it is such a nice hotel , lovely welcoming fire and lots of sheep and on a clear night the stars are magical. We have been going many years . great for walkers .

Overnight Stay@Mallayan We have been coming here for years and it never fails even with it changing owners - Staff are truly Top Class Excellent customer service friendly and go the extra mile - nothing is a problem. Food was of a High Standard - Quality Food Presentation and Portions Spot On … Changed Rooms this time and no faults high standard of cleanliness … as always We must make a compliment to All the staff and especially Ash she has a fab personality and excellent with the customers and top class service a credit to the Hotel … Big Big Thank you to you all we will see you all again in November …!!

Called into the bar after a walk to mallyan spout. The lady who served us a well deserved pint of Mallyan larger was lovely (didn’t catch her name though) we liked it so much that we decided to stay the night the bar maid went and found out if there was a room available for us which luckily there was. We had sandwiches for lunch (prawn and coronation chicken) and a pot of chips which were lovely. The room we stayed in was called a compact double, the room was clean, bed comfy and the products provided were nice. We sat by a wood burning fire in the evening, drank wine and enjoyed a cheese board. Breakfast was lovely, service was a little slow which we didn’t mind as it looked like Jodie and Sarah were running breakfast and checkouts. Both Sarah and Jodie were polite, officiant and helpful We will definitely stay again maybe a pre planned visit next time

Another brilliant stay at the Mallyan Spout Hotel. From start to finish it was all perfect. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was excellent. We've stayed before and most certainly will again. All the staff were brilliant too! Would highly recommend this hotel! 10/10
