Really Average Afternoon Tea - Cost doesn’t reflect in the food , flavours lacking in most items. Manager did call to be fair to enable him to apologise regarding the overall disappointment , however staff were very helpful , but wouldn’t return.

We enjoyed a most relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Swan in September. It is the perfect location for a short break away from it all with friends. Great food and wine a convivial atmosphere and comfortable accommodation.

We have experienced many afternoon teas and this one was up there with the best. Our stay was part of a special birthday celebration and the hotel more than lived up to our hoped for expectations. We had one of the garden rooms which had a wonderful setting. The quality of the room, it's amentities and the hotel facitities in gerneral were outstanding.

Nice hotel and good location with parking included at the rear but can get full. Can be noisy as our room (7) had a generator or some machinery outside operating 24/7. Windows needed cleaning too. Service charge high at 12.5% and we git charged even when ordering at the bar and taking drinks to our table ourselves . Good restaurant - in the ££ to £££ range. Charged us extra for bread one evening even though the amount given varied each night!. Rooms have a spacious wardrobe; lots of drawer space and good tea and coffee facilities/ biscuits. There is also a lift but some rooms are then down others stairs. Ours was in the same level as the lift.

Great last minute stay. The room was very special - spacious, bright ,spotless and with every thing you could possibly need. And beautifully decorated. Service from Reception was top notch - quick and helpful. If I were being picky, why no Sourdough at breakfast? ( Some people have wheat intolerance and can only tolerate Sourdough) Otherwise, fantastic place with great service.
