Filoxenia Hotel Monemvasia

We stayed here for 11 days which is probably more than most do in Monemvasia as it is generally a short stay town. The hotel is in an excellent location with great views of the Rock. Our room (30) was big with a very large balcony and a free safe. Staff are very helpful and the hotel is very clean. Breakfast is available at extra cost in the cafe next door. the only downside here is that there is very little storage space for clothes if you are staying longer than a few days and that there is no tea and coffee making facilities available. It is possible to walk to the Rock from the hotel or there is a bus 40 yards from the hotel which takes you to the gates of the old town for 2.5 euro return. believe taxis are around 4 euros each way. would recommend.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, just a few metres from the beach (pebbly). Breakfast can be taken at their terrace on the beach (breakfast superb!) overlooking the rock. All the staff are really helpful and friendly. The room was big, if a little dated, but very very clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning and a terrace. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. The bathroom is small, but sparkingly clean and functional, with plenty of hot water. When we had a faulty light fitting one evening the staff were very quick to respond and even at 8 pm the faulty fitting was replaced without any fuss. There is lots of free parking outside the hotel on the street. We cannot fault this hotel and would definately recommend.

Great location, on the beachfront. Nice and quiet but close to all amenities. Parking available. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Excellent service. Will visit again for sure. The receptionist was super helpful. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Lovely hotel directly facing Monevasia and a few steps to the sea for a swim! Friendly welcoming team. Best fresh breakfast. Very clean room. Nice bed. Seaview. Good information leaflet. Easy relaxed atmosphere.

Highly recommend. We booked a room with two twin beds and a room with a double bed. Each room had a balcony (and a clothesline that was brilliant for a long stay.) Breakfast was very nice (let the desk know the night before.) The rocky beach across the road was perfect with free lounge chairs, tables and chairs and the ability to order food and drinks. Convenient to bakeries, markets, castle, great restaurants. Beautiful stay catered to by a kind and attentive family business!

La posizione dell'hotel è davvero incantevole, situato proprio sul mare, offrendo una vista splendida e la comodità di avere la spiaggia a pochi passi. Tuttavia, l'intera struttura avrebbe bisogno di una ristrutturazione per sfruttare appieno il suo potenziale. Molto disponibile il ragazzo della reception, che ci ha fornito tutte le indicazioni necessarie.
