The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, hotel is a 2 min walk away from the main MG road, while still avoiding the crowd. Staff were always very courteous and helpful, and the restaurant provided meals to our taste. Many thanks to everyone including Deepa, Kalyan and Nita for the luxurious dining experience. My hosts, Pema and Tenzing are quiet welcoming and helpful and provided useful insights and tips. I'll definitely recommend this place. Food is good and the collection of plants in their patio is excellent. The fish tank is quiet innovative.

We had a lot of concerns while booking a hotel in Gangtok and took a leap of faith with 100 petals. The result is we would go back to Sikkim just to spend time at 100 petals. 1. Property and Room : Room with balcony was spacious enough for 2 people. Very nice space to eat meals as well next to the balcony. Excellent and calming views from the balcony. A third of our time was spent there. Extremely comfortable bed, hygienic and running hot water. Property is not ostentacious but very cosy and a 15 min cab ride away from the main market, MG Marg which will cost you around 150-200 INR one way. 2. Food : The variety of food ***** with taste was just brilliant. We ended up having breakfast and dinners at the property. Extremely fresh and tasty vegetarian food with a huge variety. Breakfast over 2 days - Puri Bhaji, Aloo Paratha with Curd, Coleslaw sandwiches, Omelette, Masala Poha, cut fruits and local orange juice. Dinner over 2 days - Chicken kadhai, Butter chicken, mixed veg sabzi, veg kolhapuri, roti, jeera rice, plain rice, salad, dal, clear veg soup. 3. Staff : The best aspect of 100 petals was the staff, the best of the best being Tshering Youngming, Sandesh, Prem (apologies for not remembering the others at the reception desk). Tshering was especially outstanding from the start of booking our rooms, allaying our concerns and being prompt with confirmation and query resolution. On the day we were supposed to reach , the 3.5 hr journey from Bagdogra to Gangtok took 7 hrs. Tshering proactively spoke to Nirmal Gurung our super cab driver and gave him directions. Inspite of the late hour (10pm - everything closes at 9), Tshering realising that we must be tired after the horrendous car ride, politely asked if he should send the food to the room after we freshen up. He also took down Nirmal's number and coordinated with him regarding our timings the next day. What a lovely holistic time we had at Sikkim, nothing touristy and only genuine people, nature, cute fluffy doggos and food. PS: We made the mistake of spending 3 days in Darjeeling. Absolute disaster. Extreme overcrowding, very very touristy, more vehicles than people with diesal fumes rampant in the air. Both of us fell sick there. The only redeeming quality of Darjeeling was the Zoo. While choices are strictly personal, spend more time in Sikkim rather than Darjeeling.

Dieses Jahr haben wir beschlossen, Sikkim zu besuchen. So aus Kolkata reisen wir nach Siligui, Kalimpong, Gangtok und schließlich nach Namchi und zurück. Wir erreichten Gangtok am 23. Mai. Wir blieben 3 Nächte in Sonam Delek und ich kann Ihnen nicht sagen, was schöner Aufenthalt es war. Ich war mit meiner Mutter, Schwester und unseren drei Kindern auf dem Weg. Wir hatten drei Wohnungssuiten reserviert. Ich habe in der Vergangenheit zu vielen Orten gereist, aber ich war nie so verrückt mit der Art und Weise, wie die Zimmer gemacht und dekoriert wurden. Die Zimmer hatten diese schöne positive Energie und hatten die spektakulärste Aussicht von allen drei Seiten. Das Personal im Hotel ist sehr hilfreich. Es gibt ein Restaurant im Hotel und das Essen ist ziemlich gut. Der Koch hier kocht hervorragendes nordindisches Essen. Wenn Sie ein Vegetarist sind, haben Sie nichts zu besorgen. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel sehr an jemand, der Gangtok besucht. Ich werde sicher bald eine weitere Reise planen.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future

Ecotel kalimpong: a comfortable stay amid-st nature our family recently had a pleasant stay at ecotel kalimpong. The hotel's location amid-st the serene hills provided a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a cozy ambiance that made us feel at home. We particularly enjoyed the hotel's proximity to popular attractions like thongs-ha gumpha and the scenic viewpoints. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering valuable recommendations for exploring the area. While the hotel may not have all the bells and whistles of a luxury resort, it provided a comfortable and affordable base for our family vacation. The simple yet satisfying food served at the hotel's restaurant was a bonus. Overall, we had a positive experience at ecotel kalimpong and would recommend it to families seeking a comfortable and budget-friendly stay in the beautiful hills of kalimpong.

Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend und von der Menge entfernt mit herrlichen Blicken auf die Hügel/densen Wald. Es ist ein bisschen 25-30 min von mg Marg entfernt, aber die Cabs sind (Waggonr 500 Bucks eine Seite auf privater Basis) leicht vom Hauptmarkt erhältlich. Es ist ein perfektes Hotel und ich würde empfehlen, wenn jemand mehr an die Natur als an der Betonjungle wohnt, die nahe der mg Straße oder an anderen Orten ist. Personal ist erstaunlich und dient Ihnen mit einem großen Lächeln und es ist für alle. Food ist auch gut mit einem angemessenen Preis (Ich habe einige Bewertungen gelesen, dass die Preise sind hoch, aber angesichts meiner Erfahrung, Preise sind sehr vernünftig, um ein 4-Sterne-Hotel außer ich fühlte für eine Sache, die ist heiße Gulab Jamón mit Eiscreme. Auch der Preis ist gut, aber die Größe des Süßen war klein. Vegetarier würden das mehr mögen, weil es ein reines vegetarierisches Hotel ist, obwohl Alkohol da ist. Ich blieb in Zimmer 102 und 104 beide sind Familienzimmer. 102 können 4 Mitglieder leicht beherbergen und 104 ist größer als 102. Beide Zimmer bieten hervorragende Aussichten direkt von Ihrem Zimmer. Wenn Sie 101 oder 104 erhalten, ist es ein großer Plus und sie haben mehr Platz im Ätzbereich. Bestimmt empfehlen.
