St John's is a huge building which can't be missed. The service is outstanding (huge thanks to Matthew, you deserve a raise). The booking via bluepillow was faulty so Matthew did everything to make sure we didn't have any problems. We had the best room with spectacular view of the ocean. The beach is directly in front of the hotel and everything is spotless clean. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back.

Waking up to the sight of the sea was both relaxing and refreshing. The cleanliness of the room and the entire hotel was very well-maintained . However, there are some areas that could use improvement. The amenities were quite limited. Toiletries weren’t provided, which was fine, but having them would have made the stay more convenient. Also, access to the pool, sauna, and gym required a separate payment, which was a bit disappointing given that many hotels usually include those facilities. The breakfast was enjoyable, though it came at an additional cost. It was good, but nothing particularly special. Overall, the best part of this hotel is the beautiful view and the friendly, helpful service from the staff. If you're looking for a clean place with a great view and don’t mind paying extra for amenities, this could be a decent choice.

Located in front of Gangmun Beach and surrounded by pine trees, this hotel offers great advantages due to its proximity to Gangneung Station. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to many tourist spots, has friendly and helpful staff, offers reasonable prices, and for those who prefer not to go anywhere, St. John Hotel offers many amenities that encourage longer stays. I will definitely return.

I stayed at this hotel during a trip to Gangneung to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Overall, it was a great experience and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great location right on the beach. Pool and spa/sauna are additional costs, so be mindful when booking. Rooms were spacious. No beach towels provided so be sure to bring your own if you’re going to sit out at the beach. Not super English-friendly but most staff can get the basics (we were able to store our luggage at the concierge and get a taxi).

If you purely looking for a place to stay, this hotel is on pricey side. We didnt know we have to pay if we wish to use the pool, in the end the kid only end up watching tv in the room. Hotel only provided mineral water, but no 3in 1 coffee or tea packet are available. Amenities need to be purchased as its policy of korea not to provide 1 time used items anymore

The location was good, but it wasn't as good as I expected. I think I'll have to think about the next visit

If you are looking for an easy sunrise experience, this hotel is for you! You can set the alarm, then open the curtain. Once the alarm goes off, open your eyes and there you go! Sun is rising in front of your eyes! My happiness was beyond words. The beach, the sauna, the vibe was all fantastic!

Morden facilities and nice view!

The hotel is nice but there are no coffee and tea in the room .
