這個酒店在非常隱祕的山路之上，很多突出車都不太好找位置嘛，確實是不是很理想，但裏面的環境還算是非常不錯的，非常的具有原生態。

Eigentlich schreibe ich kaum noch Bewertungen, aber das Tamarind ist ein Lob wert. Ein schönes, kleines, (12 Zimmer), stilvolles hideaway 10 TukTuk-Minuten vom Fort entfernt, sehr ruhig, man hört nur die Vögel, die Affen und die Frösche. Alle Räume im Tamarind sind liebevoll eingerichtet mit dunklen Holzböden und Holzmöbeln (das Haupthaus ist 250 Jahre alt). Überall gibt es überdachte Sitzplätze. Alles ist frisch renoviert und sauber. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es waren wenig Gäste da, also gab es serviertes Frühstück und Abendessen nach Wunsch, westlich und asiatisch. Wir hatten das Zimmer 4 mit kleiner Terrasse und Blick in den Dschungel und zum Pool. Also wirklich empfehlenswert wenn man dem Touristentrubel vom Galle Fort entgehen will.

Super Hotel Anlage, sehr sauber und freundliches Personal (besonders Umish&Sanjay😊) Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig, vielfältige Tier und Pflanzenwelt. Das Essen (westliche und lokale Küche) war ausgezeichnet. Uns hat besonders der Dschungel-Pool gefallen.

We really enjoyed our time here in such a beautiful and historic building. The rooms are spacious with lovely furniture and giant beds. The hotel is in the middle of a longer term refurbishment programme and they are upgrading each room at a time so some facilities are a little more old fashioned than others and they are currently awaiting their drinks licence so you are allowed to bring in your own alcohol free of charges it is a training hotel so there are young, enthusiastic staff trying their best, always welcoming you with big smiles. The pool is very large and at night surrounded by wild peacocks..they are in the process of adding a screen to block of their unsightly neighbour but it didn't bother us. Breakfasts are tailored to your needs and they are happy to prepare anything you need for supper it's 3 kilometres from town but we liked the peace this afforded

We had an excellent stay in this historic Dutch admiral's house from the 17th century. Most agreeable was the very welcoming and efficient staff, totally committed to our needs. The room we had was giant with a private patio and leading to the well maintained large swimming pool. Breakfast was delicious and included in the price. They are continuously refurbishing the whole place but discreetly, hence it's a very quiet boutique hotel. Highly recommended

Such a shame. Beautiful building steeped in history but run down beyond belief. We moved out after one night which was a shame. Some aspects were downright dangerous. I had to keep my foot on a plug so my wife could dry her hair. The AC is incredibly noisy and old. The grounds are generally kept in pretty good condition but the pool area is horrible. I will attach a picture of the view. A picture of the rubbish below. The check in was really just weird. You do the niceties and then are asked what do you want for dinner tonight! Menu? No, we don’t have one. You’ve just arrived and have no idea of your surroundings! Just wrong and quite intimidating. We were the only people who eat there that night, not a sole about. The service was over attentive and the guy just watched us have our meal. Very claustrophobic. If you do stay, eat in Galle.

Just stayed at Tamarind Hill and the service we received was way above our expectations.. All the staff without exception were friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us.. The building is beautiful with lots of colonial character and history with a really nice pool and is situated about a 5 min toktok ride away from Galle Fort which was great as it was much more peaceful than being in the Fort area.. The food was exceptional…. definitely can’t beat the Sri Lankan chicken curry… If you’re looking for a hotel that offers incredible service this is the place.

This was our first time at Tamarind Hill and definitely won’t be our last. What a gorgeous hotel! Has a very old world charm and the decor of the hotel was simply delightful. But what was just out of this world was the service! Everyone from the manager to the chef to all the hotel staff we encountered, it was Sri Lankan hospitality at its finest. And the food, oh my goodness we had the most delicious Sri Lankan breakfast and I could just sit there all day eating that! Every dish that we ate was truly a piece of heaven and the service that went along with it made this experience so memorable. The breakfast was soo good that we skipped lunch and dinner and savored every morsel of the breakfast! Hotels can be great, the food can be delicious but what makes the place that much more appealing is the service and Tamarind Hill has all of that plus a fabulous staff who will make sure your every need is met and the experience is one to remember!

Very friendly staff. The pool was nice and the pool boy was very friendly and told us about the monkeys in the trees, that we saw while swimming. The breakfast was delicious and big, and the building and garden were beautiful. We enjoyed our stay very much.
