Fresno City Inn

Upon entering in my vehicle, I was greeted by a barefoot toddler running out into the street with no parent to be found. The only key pad that was operational was the front gate (after trying three different room/key combinations, I was able to get a locking door. No light in the bathroom. The fins on the room fan vent are broken in the closed position,which is a problem when no air conditioning is available. Heat and fan operate out of this in operational vent. Dirt and debris on the floor after being assured that the room had been cleaned. Additionally doubtful co spidering the shreds of **** found in the nightstand drawer. No screens on the windows. This poses a significant problem when there is a NEED to air-out/ ventilate the room due to the heavy smoke (cigarette and ****) stench, even though this was a no-smoking room, again less evident but the cigarette burns on the wall. To add to the decor, the walls were also adorned with a variety of bugers and artfully displayed cobwebs. The furnishing we're heavily worn and some failed to function (drawers would not open/handles broken,etc.) Needlessly said,this facility not only leaves much to be desired,but would better serve it's customers as a landfill substitution.

I reserved this hotel for a stop on a very long road trip. I arrived at the hotel late at night after 12 hours of driving, and the desk clerk told me in a most disinterested voice, "hey um, we had some kind of problem and we don't actually have a room for you tonight." ... Awesome. So I've been driving for 12 hours, most of the city is sold out, and you don't have a room for me. Yeah, that wasn't my favorite evening.
