"Schöne Lage, ich besuchte eine Freundin Geburtstagsparty am besten Service wurde am Abend im Buffet Restaurant und wieder am Morgen von einer jüngeren blonden Osteuropa-Frau empfangen, sie zog so aus ihrem Weg, um mir beide Male zu helfen, Ich wünschte, ich hätte ihren Namen gefragt. Das Frühstück mit dem Buffet hatte alles, was Sie möglicherweise wünschen konnten, gut wert die $17 Kosten.. Ich habe die Coleman Suite gebucht und es war überraschend, aber die Grundzimmer einige meiner Freunde hatten zu hoch geschätzt.. Ich hätte es gewöhnt haben, Pool, Sauna und andere Einrichtungen zu nehmen, aber es gab keine Zeit mit der Party, ich würde empfehlen, zum nächsten Mal mindestens 2 Tage zu bleiben. Wunderbarer Aufenthalt, nur zu kurz."

"Was not my first choice but booked this hotel for my graduation at Durham University since all other hotels are fully booked. The hotel is relatively old but clean and has all the amenities needed (including an iron and the ironing board). Nice and friendly staff at the reception, who kindly assisted with the printing of some documents. Good location because it is within walking distance from the Durham Cathedral and the campus"

"Stayed 2 nights in a supposed twin room, which I think they upgraded us to a family room that had a bathtub :D location is 2 mins walk from the town hall with lots of resturant around & 10 mins from railway station. Very friendly staff who greets you every morning. Didn’t have breakfast included but the meal deal was pretty attractive (2 course meal + breakfast + drink for £24.99) so my friend and I decided to go for breakfast next morning (£9.90 for unlimited cooked + continental). Love the energy of the staffs :D"

"Wonderful hotel! The location was perfect for visiting the city, just a hop over the bridge to get to the centre. The room was really spacious with a large bed, sofa and coffee table, desk, and plenty of room in between. There was a kettle and tea/instant coffee as well as a Nespresso machine, and a mini fridge, which came in very handy for cooling drinks. The bathroom was clean and had a good layout with a shower screen over the tub (no spills!) and plenty of soap holders. There was also lush This Works shampoo and conditioner and really nice shower gel. It felt much more luxurious than we expected - even providing bath robes and slippers. We had a second floor room with a cathedral view (we could hear the bells!), overlooking the road outside. Traffic calmed down at night and did not disturb our sleep, and the hotel was quiet overall. The room had been cleaned well, but there were slight oversights: the front of the desk and coffee maker handle, for example, showed historic spills; the window (with modern additional pane to create double glazing) had other guests' forehead- and nose prints on them (we discovered ourselves how easy it is to be taken in by the view, lean forward, and forget that there's a window there...), but the bathroom, bed, and floors were absolutely hygienic and we felt comfortable nevertheless. Staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!"
