We booked a family stay at Woodlands making the most of their various accommodation offerings. I stayed in a Seabed and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Very spacious for the two of us but also has a sofa bed too, so would be great for families. We booked direct which I’d definitely recommend as you get a bottle of Prosecco and bathrobes thrown in. I added a few extras before arrival for a little extra treat. These were super easy to add on their website. Views are outstanding and the hot tub was simply perfect after a long drive. Can’t wait to return!!

Die Aussicht ist unglaublich, aber das ist das beste über das Hotel. Es war außergewöhnlich teuer für das, was es war. Ich fühlte mich traurig, dass ich so viel von meinem hart verdienten Geld auf sie verbracht habe. Das Zimmer war durchschnittlich. Du musstest bezahlen, um ein Handtuch für den Schwimmbad zu mieten, das ich für lächerlich hielt. Wenn du fast 300 £ pro Nacht bezahlst, um irgendwo zu bleiben, sollten die Schwimmhandtuchs eingegeben werden. Das Frühstück war OK, aber nichts besonderes. Nur ein Buffet von Grundstücken. Abendessen war nett. Ich war etwas skeptisch, nach dem Frühstück zu gehen, aber es gibt nicht viele Optionen in der Nähe. Es war eigentlich ein angenehmes Essen am Ende jedoch. Hunde wurden erlaubt.

My partner and I booked Glencoe House for a family celebration. We booked lodges 9 & 11 along with suite 2. The surroundings were outstanding, with peace and tranquility from our decking allowing us to forget about our bustling lives for a few days. We had dinner in suite 2 as a group. The choices were extensive, from stunning local seafood and meats to delicious desserts and cheese....obligatory wines from our in suite bar were on hand to supplement each dish. The service was incredibly professional, discreet, and a joy to experience. We really did feel like royalty. The chef, I think his name is George, made an appearance to ensure all was well. Marvellous. We had drinks afterwards in the main hall and chatted with Angela, a local lady. She gave us fantastic tips on the best walks in the are, taking into consideration my father's slight mobility issues. The following day, we took her advice. After a beautiful in suite breakfast, we meandered around the local trail, a more or less level walk with plenty of benches scattered around it for a quick breather. Glencoe House oozes an opulence which hotels don't seem to have anymore. From arrival with James in his kilt, the decor, ambience, and the facilities on hand, everything. The 2 lodges are basically next door and are stunningly beautiful. Next level luxury! We as a group cannot wait to return. We are all smitten with this establishment and every single dedicated and supremely professional employee. Thankyou so much to all of you, and we cannot wait to visit and see you all again. Xx

Great location, very clean and quiet. Also, comfortable beds and good sized bathrooms. We stayed two nights. Quaint downtown Fort William is a 5 minute walk. If you are lucky enough to get tickets for the Jacobite Train then definitely stay here as the train station is also nearby (but you don't hear the train noise in the rooms). No breakfast or food served on premises but it isn't needed as there are so many restaurants close by. Also, free parking. I left my wedding ring in the room and they mailed it back to me in the U.S. and did not charge me--very nice and honest staff!

Die Lage ist als Ausgangspunkt top. Der Service ist excellent. Das Zimmer super sauber und bietet alles was man benötigt. Das Frühstück hat alles getopt was man sich wünscht. Tolle Hausbar und sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Kann es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen

Das Hotel liegt einige Meter ausserhalb des eigentlichen Zentrums. Der Empfang ist recht geschäftsmässig. Unsere Bitte, in einem Restaurant einen Tisch für uns zu reservieren wurde mit der Antwort gekontert, dass wir das selber machen könnten. Thank your for nothing. Nach dem wir dann in besagtem externen Restaurant keinen Tisch ergattern konnten, reservierten wir im hoteleigenen Restaurant. Mit unseren siebenjährigen Kindern setzte man uns an einen dieser Hochtische mit Barstühlen, die eigentlich nur Innenarchitekte gut finden können. Das Essen an sich war gut. Beim Frühstück ging die Hälfte unserer Bestellung zunächst vergessen. Trotzdem war das Personal aufmerksam und freundlich. Am zweiten Morgen klappte es dann wie am Schnürchen. Insgesamt ist es ein gutes Hotel in mittelguter Lage mit einem Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, der sich gerne etwas mehr Mühe geben darf, wenn es um Gästeservice geht.

Also ist das nicht, wo ich in Fort William wohnen wollte, aber ich buchte mit ihnen, weil ich die Avios Points nutzen wollte und das war der einzige Ort in der Stadt, der sie genommen hat. Also die Eincheckung war ein Brise, sehr alte Schule. Ich hatte einen Schlüssel und das war es, weil ich vorbestellt hatte. Ich mochte das. Keine Anleihen, Passe etc. Check-out war auch einfach und keine leichten zusätzlichen Gebühren. Das Personal war wunderschön und freundlich und der Zimmerservice wurde gut gemacht. Ich habe ein Standardzimmer reserviert, aber eine der vier Poster-Zimmer, die großartig war, erhielt. Obwohl ich mich noch ein wenig für dieses Zimmer bezahlt hatte, so vielleicht haben sie mich aufgebaut. Vielleicht habe ich das Posh-Zimmer gekauft und die Avios-Website machte einen Fehler. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut gepreist und groß. Perfekt für die Füllung vor dem Aufstieg auf den Ben. Das Abendessen war in Ordnung mit einem wechselnden Menü. Das Hotel braucht eine Upgrade, Krüge, Form in Orten und der Spa- und Pool-Bereich hatte das Gefühl ein öffentliches Pool, aber es war schön, diese Einrichtungen zu haben. Joe öffentliche kann den Pool nutzen, den ich glaube ist eine Aktivität Familien machen am wet-day. Die Lage war auch nicht ideal, ein bisschen zu weit in die Stadt zu gehen im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels. Schauen Sie, es war ok, ein gemischt zurück, ich würde empfehlen, aber ich würde auch gerne etwas anderes versuchen, wenn ich zurückkehre.

I booked this hotel after a cancellation at another hotel in Fort William, and I found it last minute. Quite exciting staying at a new hotel! Firstly, the plus points: a very friendly welcome, and the lady on reception at check out was very friendly too. Also, the rooms are really stylish and spotless, and some very tasty biscuits are provided. However, I was left disappointed by a few things. Firstly, despite the stylish appearance of the room, it lacked some cosyness - it felt like a cross between a Premier Inn and student digs. On that subject, there was a group of quite noisy students staying there the evening I was there. This wouldn't normally bother me, but you could hear everything from the corridor, even though I was staying at the far end. So, lots of knocking on doors until 11pm at night and from about 6am the following morning. I also found the service at the bar to be quite mixed. The guy working was very friendly, but the lady I was greeted by came across as if she didn't want to be there...no smile or anything! Finally, you can't watch live TV in the rooms. It may be 2023, but, if I want to watch TV on an evening, just turning it on and having channels available would be good. Unfortunately, I had to connect my tablet to a different WiFi code and cast...and not many of the streaming services allow you to cast live TV. In time, I'm sure the hotel will be great, and maybe I'll go again...maybe!

What a lovely place! I've stayed here with my daughter on the way to Skye and this was a real gem to find. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warm and friendly staff, who made us feel right at home. Their genuine hospitality added a personal touch to our stay, making it even more special. The rooms were comfortable, with a cozy atmosphere that perfectly complemented the hotel's charming surroundings. We slept soundly and woke up up refreshed and ready for the journey ahead. We had dinner in the bar, which was perfect for us and the delicious breakfast set us off for the rest of the day. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the large lawn outside and at the banks of the loch. Will be definitely stopping again, hopefully for longer to explore the area some more.
