Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast

The owners are so nice and the hotel is so clean,I asked for more bread to toast and they toasted it for me so much love was poured into this house its amazing so many options with food since its prepared fresh every day it immaculate and it tastes amazing.

Excellent bed and breakfast, highly recommended. We received a wonderful welcome from Jan and Michael. Jan was keen to show us around the house, while Michael very kindly took our luggage to our room. The house is exceptional, in a secluded position on a quiet road. It's spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Our bedroom (Room 2) was large with a very comfortable Super King bed, lovely shower, and excellent Wi-Fi signal. Breakfast was superb with homemade bread, cakes, a wide variety of choices, and beautifully presented, like a five-star restaurant. We had a problem with our car, and Jan kindly let us stay and use the facilities while this was sorted. If you are in and around Fort Augustus then you won't regret booking into Rose Cottage.

The house was attractive, well kept and clean. Jan and Michael were cordial and attentive hosts and made us feel at home. Michael helped us with our bags on arrival which we really appreciated. Jan provided some very helpful sightseeing tips - I was especially glad I talked to her before going to see Urquhart Castle. They put a lot of effort into breakfast which was excellent. The parking space was ample and easy to access. Overall a great experience and value.

Highly recommended! i had wonderful stay it was cozy ,quiet you can hear the birds singing in the morning , feels like home , room is spacious and spotless super clean , bed and pillows are comfortable i had really good sleep and i had the best breakfast with jazz music 🎶 love it !thank you Jen & Michael i wish i could stay longer.

Jen and Michael offer Excellent hospitality in this adorable home. It is so comfortable with terrific amenities and impeccably kept. We both felt so lucky to have been able to rest here during our 2 day tour. You will love it and the wee town of Fort Augustus.

Rose Cottage was perfect!! Jan and Michael are absolutely fantastic hosts who are extremely accommodating - your mug is never empty of tea! They have excellent recommendations of things to do and want you to have the best possible experience of Scotland. The room was excellent - so clean and comfortable and I loved the hospitality tray provided. Breakfast is fantastic and there are so many options - make sure to try Jan’s home baked goods!! The cottage is perfectly located near the centre of Fort Augustus and is only a short walk away - there is a lovely coffee shop overlooking the canal. Fully recommend choosing Rose Cottage as your stay in Fort Augustus! Thank you Jan and Michael for a wonderful stay.
