Carlton Hotel

I enjoyed an excellent two night stay at the Carlton - my room was cosy, comfortable and extremely good value. The staff are very welcoming and a huge thanks to Phoebe for my excellent Full Carlton breakfasts (don’t miss out on the superb black pudding)!) which were served with a smile. I’d thoroughly recommend this hotel whatever your reason for visiting Forres. 👍

Last minute Telephone booking with really helpful and friendly staff. Excellent room rates in a very clean comfortable and large room. Personal touch with a lovely welcome letter and complimentary drinks and sweets popped outside our door that night 🥰 Breakfast service was excellent and the full Carlton hit the spot for our journey home . Wasn’t expecting much due to the low cost but was delighted with every aspect and would defo stay again.

Arrived at this hotel shown to my room, which lacked comfort and maintenance, all night the window rattled (very Big Window) the plug in the sink was broken away from chain, I had to share a bathroom with 2 other rooms (which I already new on booking) in the bathroom it to was terrible state . 1 Again sink plug and chain broken , shower didnt seem to work , and when using the toilet .. the seat was loose/ broken terrible dangerous ,experience. Breakfast time I ordered a bacon roll , bacon under cooked , also small teapots when i took lid off they were all stained and unclean, i settled for a teabag in cup I met a member off staff who said he was the chef......... well you wouldnt have known by the way he was dressed ,you would have thought he was a workman off the street not the way a chef should dress couldnt wait to leave and I wouldnt recomend. the chef? served another table there breakfasts and was still dressed in same clothes from day before.
