Hotel la Scogliera

My husband and I arrived late due to missing luggage at the airport as well as a cancelled boat ferry. The night portiere was very welcoming and sympathetic regarding our missing luggage. We had booked a very nice room booked with sea view, although dark when we arrived. The next morning the responsible day portiere was very concerned about the missing luggage and offered to support by calling the the airport. After our first breakfast the portiere asked if we would like to see a different room that they offered us as a free upgrade! :-) Of course we would! The junior sweet with a large tiled balcony/terrace was absolutely wonderful! During our 8 nights stay the staff has been extremely supportive, making calls to push for the missing luggage (which finally arrived after 4 days!), arranging taxi transfers and suggesting places to visit. The hotel has an old world charm, with beautiful tiles and décor. The courtyard is so beautifully done, with large olive trees, hibiscus and cactus. Pool area is equally beautiful, Olive trees and greenery as well as a nice pool and a warm thermal pool which was refilled every morning from the natural hot springs on the island. I'd like to give Hotel La Scogliera and the staff my highest recommendations - would most definitely like to go back! :-)

Great location with easy walk into Forio, and right on the front near good restaurants. Friendly staff, good value. Breakfast perhaps a bit basic, but otherwise faultless. Spectacular sunset views and a lovely courtyard to have drinks in.

If you are in Ischia and looking for an elegant but still unpretentious place to stay , hotel la scogliera is the place to be Reasonably priced , clean rooms , nice decor and cool vibe . The owners make you feel at home and the staff is the kindest and most helpful you could find on the island. They have a solarium with a direct access right to the cleanest water which is just across the street . The solarium is avialable to the hotel guests only and in august ( the busiest period of the year ) this is definetly a big plus The layout of the hotel makes everything easy .. which is what you need where you are on holidays Forio center is a stone thrown away Everyone from the receptionists to the waiters to the manager of the restaurant to beach guard make sure you have the best time possible Very accommodating attitude and relaxing atmosphere . Despite the many places to visit in Ischia .. you feel you don’t want to leave the hotel . Thanks to everyone for making our holidays special Well done guys ! I will surely see you next year

A fabulous hotel with an exceptional staff. I could not find anything bad about this property. Everyone from the lovely lady cleaning our room to reception and wait staff were so friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Valentina, Sofia, Gino, Gaetano and the “young” Giovanni, for making our experience so memorable. 👏

We stayed at La Scogliera for 6 nights as a kind of "beach vacation" after visiting busy Italian cities. The hotel is directly across the street from the ocean, and there are many little restaurants along the street within 5 minutes walking that you can get great pizza, seafood and pasta at, all while watching the sun set. (We picked this hotel because we didn't want to rent a car and that worked out perfectly.) We enjoyed the beautiful, comfortable lobby and garden where we relaxed and checked our email and also had nightly apertifs as the sun went down. Our room was very nice, we got upgraded to a room with a great view of the sea and mountains, as well as a more comfortable bed than our first room. I would definitely recommend to get our room, 106, or 109 next to us. For the price, the view rooms here are a good deal--perfect ocean view. The hotel has a floating platform with sunbeds you can use for free, but we preferred to go down the street to one of the two beach concessions and pay 20 euro a day for an umbrella and two sunbeds on the sand. (Recommend Chalet Nonna Carmela, also delicious lunch here.) The hotel service was very good, everyone was very kind and polite. We only used the pool once, it is okay and in a lovely setting with the mountains in the background, but the pool area could use some updating. The breakfast is fine, but there are a huge number of sweet selections and not quite enough fruit or savory selections. We didn't eat at the hotel any other time. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the unmissable La Mortella botanic garden and about a 10 minute cab from Poseidon Garden, both of which we recommend. The walk to Forio is about 15 minutes, but we only went once because the ***** of beach between La Scogliera and the town is so chill and nice, with plenty of food options. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely "old school" hotel with great service, from all the staff, from reception to cleaning team. Gaetano at reception is a real gem and so is his colleague Marcella. The rooms are nice and very clean. We had a large room with sea view - amazing. Nice breakfast options, We only had one dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. Special touch: home-made sfogliatella for desert. THe hotel is only 10/12 min walk from the centre of Forio which is such a nice place. I would recommend this place and would go back for sure.

Tornare alla scogliera è sempre un esperienza ottima. Tutto rimane sempre stupendo. Il personale l accoglienza le proprietarie la cucina tutto praticamente. Si arriva già rilassati perché sai già che esperienza vivrai si parte sempre con l amaro in bocca perché è finita. Torneremo.

Semplicemente ottimo. Siamo stati ad agosto in questo albergo e speriamo di riuscire a tornare il prossimo anno. Personale gentile e disponibile le proprietarie sempre presenti ed in prima linea per accontentare le nostre richieste. Il cibo è ottimo dalla colazione ricca e varia con prodotti anche per gli intolleranti così come le cene. Consigliatissimo.

Ottima struttura, abbiamo soggiornato dal 3 al 10 settembre in mezza pensione ed è stato meraviglioso, ci siamo sentiti a casa. Le titolari, gentili cordiali attente, ci hanno dato indicazioni su come muoverci, cosa vedere, e cosigliato professionisti per il giro dell isola in taxi. Ottima anche la cucina dello chef che ci ha deliziato tutte le sere, e per questo alcune volte abbiamo anche pranzato in hotel. Ottimo staff. Insomma per noi vacanza Top Speriamo di tornare il prima possibile!!! ❤️
