I travel around the world and stay in hotels of various star ratings but I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as this one. Where shall I begin? It is a 2-star hotel, so my expectations were not high. I wanted clean and safe. To begin with, I was required to wire transfer from the bank the entire amount of the hotel stay, including the taxes. I reserved 7 rooms for 12 people. The cost was the same as the 4-star hotels, but I couldn’t get 7 rooms. Then, as I requested that 6 of the rooms have twin beds instead of one larger one, I was charged an extra $50 per night, per room. That was a total of $600 for 2 nights. (I was charged in Euros but it was similar to dollars.) When we arrived, we saw that all of the beds in all of the rooms were twin beds. Some were pushed together to make a larger bed. When I complained, I was told that some of the rooms were upgraded. The upgrade was 2 twin beds pushed together and a cot as the second bed. If you are required to stay at this hotel, do not pay extra for twin beds. It is all they have! I asked for the $600 back because they were all twin beds but was told no. By the way, they were all hard as a rock and looked like they were from the 1960s child’s bedroom and well worn. The tile floors looked stained with dirt. One of the rooms had a shower that had black mold around the bottom edges of the shower. The people in that room thought it was safer to just not shower. When I brought it to the attention of Aldo, who I believe is the manager, he said it is the silicone. I told him that silicone is not black and that it is mold. He claimed to not understand what I was saying. The mold was around the whole bottom perimeter of the shower. His response is that this is the best 2-star hotel. Nope! We proceeded to the next room where the toilet would not properly flush. He took the lid of the tank off and said it is broke and just take the tank lid off to flush. I told his that this was unacceptable but was told there was nothing he could do. Another incident occurred in the middle of the night. There was a room in the hotel with a crying child and a barking dog, apparently without an adult. I didn’t find out about this until the next day from the people in that hallway who were kept up for hours. I don’t know why the hotel staff didn’t contact the police and let this persist for hours but it ruined the next day for many people because they were exhausted. There is not an elevator so be aware that you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Some rooms have no windows. When asked twice to call taxis, each time it was a challenge. I don’t know if it was the system they use but I didn’t have any trouble in any other areas. I asked for two large taxis about 1 hour before we needed them but they didn’t call them until we needed to leave and then proceeded to tell me it was the taxi company’s fault. We had to

Best Western Plus CHC Florence has the best, friendliest, kindest employees, probably in the world. The breakfast is excellent, a buffet with great variety and service. The rooms are comfortable, well stocked, and very clean. The area is lively and convenient, has lots of choices for transportation, dining, and many businesses. It's about 5 minutes from the airport by car, and 2 stops by public transportation My mom happened to have an emergency while we were staying at BW for vacation, which forced me to extend my stay for 19 days. Even though the hotel was full, front desk staff accommodated me, and helped me in every way they could with tips, directions, everything I needed. Employees from the restaurant even took me out to dinner on my birthday. I had problems trying to find a hotel in Florence at short notice and ended up booking a room at this hotel. First I should explain that this hotel is on the second and third floor of a building. I was given a room by the stairs, which by the way are made of wood I think, so the noise of people going up and down was terrible. There is a lift, but it will only take you from the ground floor to the reception, so if you have a suitcase and you are given a room on the third floor, you have to drag it up the stairs, near to where my room was. My room was big enough, with 2 single beds, and a bathroom almost the same side of the room, painted in red! and very dark, even with the light on. The room and bathroom were clean and my linen and towels were changed every day. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, cheese, cold meat, etc. Unfortunately the reception area was dirty. There are 2 or 3 settees with a material cover, which has not been washed for some time. The location of this hotel is excellent. 15 mns to the Duomo and 30 mns to the Ponte Vecchio. The guys at the reception were very helpful, polite and one of them, on the night shift, (regrettably I did not ask his name) never stopped smiling. Great service. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes but make sure you are giving a room away from the stairs.

Das war ein hervorragendes Hotel! Wir haben eine Upgrade zu einer Junior Suite bei der Ankunft und das Zimmer war großartig! Eines der schönsten Zimmer, die wir je gehabt haben. Das Bett war sehr komfortabel und wir kamen zu einer Flasche Champagner, um unseren Geburtstag zu feiern. Carlo, der Konzern, war EXTREMMENT hilfreich - von der Zeichnung von Leitlinien auf der Karte für uns, bis zur Beantwortung aller Fragen, und der Erteilung ausgezeichneter Speiseempfehlungen, bis zur Erstellung von zeitlichen Reservierungen auf Anfrage. HINWEIS: Das Restaurant direkt hinter dem Hotel war das Beste von weitem! Mein einziger Kon war ich zu verlassen!!! Ich werde nach Florenz zurückkommen, und wenn wir das tun, werden wir definitiv hier bleiben!

Wir reservierten dieses Hotel auf Expedia mit der Möglichkeit, auf der Unterkunft zu bezahlen. Wir haben das Hotel nach der Buchung per E-Mail geschickt, um ihnen zu erfahren, dass wir nicht bis ca. 9 Uhr ankommen würden (deren Service-Desk ist nicht geöffnet 24/7.) Es dauerte ein paar Wochen, um eine Antwort zu erhalten, aber wir wurden angeraten, uns einen Code zu geben, um uns in das Gebäude zu lassen. Wir haben noch ein paar Tage vor unserer Ankunft eine E-Mail an die Mitarbeiter gesendet, wir haben eine schnelle Antwort mit vollständigen Details, mit Eingangscode und Zimmernummer. Das Personal schickte auch eine separate E-Mail mit einer Karte, die beigefügt ist, damit wir wissen, wie man dort aus der Bahnhof zu kommen. Unser Zimmer war größer als erwartet, schön und sauber mit gefülltem Wasser im Kühlschrank. Es gibt ein gemeinsames Zimmer, in dem Frühstück jeden Morgen serviert wird. Wir bezahlten nicht für das Frühstück, aber es wurde dennoch von dem Personal, das sehr bedenklich ist über sie. Es gab Krusten, Getreide, Getreide, Yoghurt und Saft. Sie kam ins Zimmer mit einem Reiniger (nach dem Frühstück) und machte eine gründliche Reinigung des Zimmers, sogar das frische Wasser in den Kühlschrank setzen. Sie sagte, sie würde in ihrem Tasche einen Blick haben, um zu sehen, ob sie irgendwelche geeigneten Medikamente für ihn hatte, sie nicht, aber dann empfahl sie eine Apotheke für mich zu besuchen. Sie hat das Zimmer am Freitag wieder gereinigt, es war schön, die Rückversicherung eines sauberen Zimmers zu haben, da ich auch nicht krank werden wollte. Wenn Catalina meinen Partner sah, schien sie wirklich besorgt und fragte ihn, wie er war. Check-out Zeit ist 10am. Wir hatten noch das Frühstück. Catalina konnte sehen, dass ich es zu essen beschleunigt hatte, sagte sie mir nicht zu beschleunigen und ‘Sie’ sind auf Urlaub’, das war wirklich nett von ihr, wie im Hotel, das wir gegenwärtig in, wir waren noch am 11.00 Uhr eines Tages essen und das Personal bat uns, zu gehen (obwohl sie war Noch immer noch abzuräumen und wir hätten nur 5 Minuten mehr verblieben) Es gibt einige negative Punkte: •Das WLAN war schlecht, es war nutzlos an ihn angeschlossen, so dass ich meine Telefondaten anstelle dieser verwendete. •Der Luftkon im Zimmer war temperamental, es hält sich aus und Sie konnten nicht wirklich die kalte Luft fühlen, wenn Sie nicht vor ihm standen. •Dies ist überhaupt nicht die Hotels schuld, aber es ist etwas zu bedenken. Es gibt Bauarbeiten, die draußen, von rund 8am und mit dem Versand um 7pm. Auch mit Ohrenschnüren in, können Sie immer noch die Drehungen und Bangen hören. Wir zahlen £388.39 für unseren Aufenthalt, der vernünftig war. Es gibt einen kleinen Shop, Carrefour Express, gerade unten die Straße. I loved this quirky old hotel. It is old fashioned in the best possible sense; very well situated close to the train station, the Duomo and the centre of Florence - so a perfect location for shopping and sightseeing. The rooms could do with some refurbishment but are air conditioned, kept very clean, and everything works. Doubles are generous in size, single rooms are small. Breakfast is continental with cheese, ham, muesli, croissants, cake, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and detox water. Most importantly, the staff here were unfailingly courteous and helpful. They really could not do enough for us, from letting me borrow an adapter, to recommending excursions, booking taxis, and accommodating a late check out. There are trendier, more modern hotels in the area, but that is reflected in the price - you get what you pay for.

Lage: zu Fuß weniger als 10 Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt, aber Vorsicht mit Ihrem Trolley, da viele Hunde und Urin für Fußgänger. Service: Zimmer mit gutem Shampoo, Badeform und Körperlotion und Zimmer ist sauber Zimmer: geräumig und Kaffeemaschine und heißes Wasser in der Lobby FOC. Aber 2 gegenüberliegende haben auch Zuggeräusche und ich bevorzuge den Blick auf die Berge.
