This is a quaint boutique hotel located in the Santa Maria Novella area. Our room and bathroom were both spacious and well appointed. The building is very secure, but the technology they use allows guests the freedom to come and go with ease. What really makes this hotel special is the hospitality of the owners. They offer tips for making the most of your time there, and we found their assessment of the restaurants nearby to be spot-on. They called and got us a reservation at a fantastic restaurant for our last night in Florence. We were especially appreciative of their help as we saw others turned away at the door. This is my new favorite hotel in Florence.

Palazzo Riblet is now my official home in Florence. I stayed at Elise Deluxe (the blue bathroom in the photos) for 4 nights and it really is one of the best accommodations I had in my 70 day European trip. I booked via their official website and was told that I even got a discount (yey!). Mr. Luciano the owner is the best host; He kept in touch with me before my trip, making sure about my travel plan, directions and instructions on my booking. As soon as I arrived he greeted me by my name even told me he will make sure to reserve a specific room for me on my next visit because its the name of the city where I am from. He also lent me a Rick Steves Florence travel guide book which was such a huge help during my trip. Mr. Luciano also gave recommendations on where to go and restaurants to eat which were the best! Love that he also made sure to tell me to drink the free wine provided in the room because it's a gift and he will not take no for an answer. lol As for the Palazzo Riblet, location is one of the best: It is a tram ride away from the airport, less than 3 mins walk from the beautiful Santa Maria Novella, around 10mins walk from the main train station, less than 9 mins walk from Duomo, 15 mins walk from Uffizi and Academia Gallery and Palazzio Piti and Palazzo Vecchio, In front of the oldest pharmacy in Florence and has lots of gelato and restaurants and coin laundry near the area as well. The building is understandably old which means physical keys (which I loved) and slow elevator but it gives more charm to the place. My room Elise is just lovely, it's big for a solo traveler and space is enough for a 2-3 people, comfortable bed and big enough bathroom with shower, bathtub and Italian bidet. Wifi has good connection with sparkling water and some biscuits readily available for the guest. Basic toiletries are also provided. I just love this place and no complaints whatsoever.. though I did hope to have hooks in the bathroom for towels and clothes but this did not bother me.

Incredible to get to stay at an old Palazzo, especially when you are treated so well by the owner and his son. At check-in he gave us plenty of tips and recommendation, and made clear we could reach him if there is anything. The hotel is very close to the train station, close to all the main attractions, there is daily house keeping. It’s just an incredible place.

This hotel was an wonderful surprise for the last day of out trip in Italy. The owners made us feel like we were family. His recommendations for places to eat and visit was very helpful. The location, the room, cleanliness are 5/5. My teenage daughter said Luciano seemed to enjoy his job more than just running a business. I certainly will stay at this hotel again in when I return to Florence. Thank you for making our staying memorable. Nga Tuesley

They treat you like family here!!! Luciano (the owner) kept in touch with me and provided a plethora of useful information from the day I made the reservation till the very moment I took the cab that he arranged for me at 3am. The hotel is located at a terrific spot- a short walk from both the train station and all other main sights that you'd want to see. The room itself was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We were also provided with a bunch of welcome snacks and a great bottle of Chianti when we checked in. I would strongly recommend staying here the next time you visit Florence.
