Hotel Lombardi

Praktische Lage, nur 10 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof Firenze SMN entfernt. Alle grundlegenden Einrichtungen sind vorhanden, die Zimmer sind gemütlich, aber super sauber, vor allem das Badezimmer, und das ist sehr wichtig. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit und half mir, mein Gepäck nach der Check-out-Zeit (11:00 Uhr) aufzubewahren. Empfehlenswert für einen kurzen Besuch, wenn Sie bleiben und das historische Zentrum bequem besichtigen möchten, ohne ein Vermögen auszugeben!

Basic facilities for the price charged. Expected more value for money paid. Staff are very friendly thats a plus.

Typical 2 star hotel for Florence situated on the first floor with lift. It is rum by a very friendly couple, who are welcoming and able toadies tourists. The hotel is a short work from the main station and easy walk into town, or the river to see the sites. The A/C works well, bathrooms are clean, the rooms simple, but comfortable. There is a wide range of shops and places to eat near-by. I is economic place to stay when passing through and I would certainly use it again.

Pros: 1) Walking distance to a train station and major attractions 2) Clean (except shower curtain door) 3) Working AC (you have to ask for remote at the front) 4) Spacious room (we had family room for 3) 5) Fridge 6) 24h front desk 7) free designated storage room for luggage Cons: 1) This is the tiniest shower 1 ever saw in ltaly, like your whole body will be touching curtain door all the time. Yes, you've read it correctly: shower doors made out of the plastic material curtain. There is no way its cleaned or sanitized properly because you can not clean it the same way as a regular glass door with a sponge and of coz they don't put it in the washer machine after each guest. Felt gross while taking a shower. 2) Since it is an old apartment building, you can hear all your neighbors 3) Only 2 big towels and 2 small ones . When I asked for more towels at the front desk and explained the tile floor in the room was freezing ...I've been told I have enough towels, and we're given only 1 extra. 4) It's difficult to use a bidet coz it's so close to a wall. 5) When we said, we would be skipping PAID breakfast in the morning (coz of early train) and asked for water only, they filled our bottles from the sink (although they had big commercial bottles next to it) 6) You have to leave the key with a front desk person EACH time you are going out. This is the most bizarre rule I ever heard.

It's close enough to the main station. The owner is such a nice person and very helpful for sightseeing.

The property was centrally located.

Good budget place. Within a couple hundred meters of the train station, the area is a little tired, dodgy. Breakfast was nothing special but if you're ok with a couple croissants, yoghurt,and packets of toast and basic corn flakes cereal, then it's fine. Coffee was good. Boxed orange juice was not very good quality. But all the staff were terrific, friendly.
