It was late when we rolled in, and we booked ahead via Priceline. I don’t see Howard Johnson’s around anymore, and since it’s owned by Wyndham I thought that it’s been rebranded and would be a good place to stay. What a disappointment! We had a ground floor room where we could park outside our door. Once inside we immediately noticed that the bathroom floor wasn’t as clean as expected, but we found cockroaches around the desk and coffee maker. It was too late to search out different accommodations so we took our luggage back out to the car, kept only what we needed for the night and made sure it was sealed up. I checked for bed bugs and didn’t find any so we slept (not soundly), got up early, showered, shook our clothes and got out of there. We did report this to the front desk, and told them that we left several cockroaches that we killed on a piece of paper on the desk in the room. They were apologetic but we didn’t stick around to haggle about it, we just left. With that experience, I would never stay at a Howard Johnson’s again.

Did not have no problems when booking room got same room that o booked everyone was friendly no noise or disturbances loved everything about it. Did not eat breakfast but it smelled good when I went to the front desk every morning

Dieses Hotel wurde renoviert und befindet sich im Zentrum von Florenz. Es sieht aus, als würden sie die Gegend wieder lebendig machen. Die Zimmer sind sehr feuchten, aber es gibt Dehydraten in jedem Zimmer. Die Reinigungspersonal sollte die Bins prüfen und leeren, wenn sie die Zimmer reinigen. Die Bins in unserem Zimmer war voll, als wir um 2:30 Uhr in unser Zimmer gecheckt haben. Es war wieder voll um 7 Uhr am nächsten Morgen! Das Frühstücksbuffet, auch wenn nicht detailliert, aber lecker war. Die geschroteten Eier blieben heiß und die grässigen Grills waren die besten, die ich je in einem Hotel Frühstück gegessen habe. Dienst war etwas langsam, es schien nur 1 Server zu der Zeit, als wir da waren. Sie begannen auch nicht das Frühstück bis 7:30 Uhr, ein wenig später als die meisten Hotels.

War ein kurzer Aufenthalt, war nicht der sauberste, hatte tote Fliegen auf dem Badezimmerboden ekelhaft. Meine Kinder gingen runter für das kontinentale Frühstück war nicht viel da und sie beschlossen, sich jeweils einen Apfel zu holen, beide Äpfel waren innen faul. War nicht beeindruckt.

Wenn Sie nach einem niedrigen Budget suchen, aber anständigen Aufenthalt, ist dies der Ort. Zimmer sind geräumig, kommen mit guter schlechter, gute Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, schöner großer TV. Badezimmer ist klein und nicht sehr modern, aber es ist ok. Das Front Desk war sehr herzlich und Covid Beschränkungen/Empfehlungen sind noch vorhanden (Der Fitnessraum ist geschlossen). schließlich bietet das Hotel einen ausgezeichneten Frühstück. Zum Preis pro Zimmer/Nacht empfehle ich diesen Ort.

Ericka Moore has been awesome at getting me anything I need, and she greets me every time I walk past the desk. The ladies that make the breakfast in the morning are friendly and speak to every person that comes to eat in the morning. I love all of the staff here and will be back.

I stayed at this hotel July 9-11, 2024. I have stayed here in the past which is why I chose this hotel, and I am sorry to say the hotel has gone downhill in the past year. First, I'll address breakfast. In the past there has been a very good assortment of breakfast foods and I have always enjoyed the oatmeal. This trip, the oatmeal was a watery mess and there weren't many other options. The sausage looked as though it had been cooked to death or warmed over numerous times. I did not taste it and I passed on the eggs. Both waffle machines were unplugged, and I can only presume, not operational. There were two choices of bagels and some bread when I went for breakfast. If there were other options, they weren't available either morning I was there. Second, cleanliness. I have never had a complaint about the cleanliness of this hotel, but this time I was extremely disappointed. The carpets were stained and the overall appearance was run down. The second morning I was there, the lobby floor and the floor to the elevators was covered in mud where it appeared someone had come in with dirty shoes. I attempted to eat breakfast again, with the same runny oatmeal, and less than appetizing meats and eggs, and I never saw a staff member even attempt to clean the floors. The lobby was so dirty, another hotel patron commented to me that she had stayed here numerous times and she would not be returning based on the cleanliness of the hotel. My room was located on the first floor and I would just describe it as OK. The carpet definitely needed cleaning and the bathroom grout needs to be replaced or seriously cleaned. The window lock was broken so I was unable to lock the window. Fortunately, the windows only open a few inches, but I would have preferred the option to be able to lock the window especially since I was a solo female traveler. As stated earlier, I have stayed in this hotel in the past, but I will definitely be looking for other accommodations should I need to spend the night in Florence anytime in the future.
