We stayed in a Indulgent Meadow Lodge for 1 week, with Away Resorts at the end of Feb 2024. We got an absolute bargain and absolutely LOVED our time here!! And would 1000% come back. I cannot believe the difference to the reviews. Obviously I can only comment on our lodge, but I was worried due to what I read and normally I try not to listen. But our indulgent meadow lodge was absolutely PERFECT! I was so excited when I saw it. It was Immaculate, clean, modern, warm (control heating - big radiators + 2 heated towel rails), light, airy. It had everything we needed. Comfy beds too, plenty of storage. My kids were so happy they had an ensuite on their twin bedroom, and we had one from our big double spacious bedroom. 2 showers and 2 toilets was ideal (better than home!!) I cooked 6 big family meals out of the 7 nights and kitchen had everything you would need/expect. The bonus was having having a dishwasher and washing machine. (Just means we didnt go home with suitcase full of washing. I know not everyones idea of a holiday lol). In the kitchen you got a couple of spare bin bags, mini fairy liquid, 2 dishwasher tablet, cloth etc. I bought laundry stuff and fairy liquid myself and brought a couple of extra toilet rolls (at least 2 provided). There are literally no faults at all. We got lots of use out of the card sets and dominoes sets. No WiFi at the lodge, don't think it was advertised. Didn't see a problem with this. Had signal on mobile. Brought dvds and TV in front room had dvd player so kids (aged 10 and 6) watched a few films over the week. Was happy they weren't on tablets and mobiles all time. Some accommodation i believe does include WiFi. Some have commented on the fire in, it was just for show as far as we were aware, not required anyway due to lodge being warm (in Feb too) and heating can be put on if needed. I came with 2 kids and I think it was such a bargain as it wasn't the school holidays in the local area, so everywhere we went was really quiet. The site is so well kept and pretty. If it was a different time of year, we would definitely got a lot of use out of the outside decking. The sliding doors opened up the lodge and would give even more space on sunny hot days. We went swimming every other morning (open for families from 930 - adult swim from 830-930). This wasn't timed, assume with being out of season and not overly busy. Decent sized outdoor play park & a little football pitch area seperate too. It was a 10 mins walk from our lodge to the beach. We went to the pub one night (John Paul Jones), we never ate, but food looked gorgeous. Food was usually priced I thought. Drink were a bit more expensive (£6.25 pint cider instead of £5 locally) but it was a lovely treat to sit and have a couple of drinks one evening. Lovely modern place with friendly staff (again opposite of what I've read reviews online on). Kids eat for £1 for an adult meal, next time we will eat there one night for sure. We walked into filey one day
