Bei Ankunft saß der Manager des Hotels in der Empfangshalle und schaute laut Fußball. Unsere durch *********** bestätigte Zahlung wurde nicht akzeptiert, sodaß wir die Übernachtung ein zweites Mal bezahlen mussten. Im Laufe der Diskussion unterhielt sich der Geschäftsführer mit seinem Angestellten in Landessprache herablassend über seine Gäste, da er nicht davon ausging, dass wir ihn verstehen würden. Das Hotel weisst ingesamt einen sehr schlechten Unterhaltungszustand auf, in unserem Zimmer z.B. hingen die Stromkabel aus der Steckdose. Die Sauberkeit ließ sowohl im Zimmer als auch im Frühstücksraum sehr zu wünschen übrig. Auf Nachfrage wurde ein Restaurant empfohlen, dass seit mehreren Monaten geschlossen hatte. Der vom Hotel engagierte Stadtführer erwies sich als verwirrter alter Mann, der in vielen Sprachen keinerlei singstiftende Erklärung für die Stationen der Führung liefern konnte, dafür aber im Nachgang mehr Geld verlangte als zu Beginn vereinbart. Das Haus ist ein typisches Beispiel dafür, dass Hotels immer nur so gut sind, wie der Manager, der sie leitet. In diesem Fall ein skrupelloser, zum Betrug neigender, arroganter Manager, der das eigentlich schöne Haus verkommen lässt. Keinesfalls 5 Sterne - wir können niemandem empfehlen, dieses Haus zu buchen.

Overall a very good hotel. Our room was impressive, spacious, comfortable everything worked. So traditional, the room was inevitably dark. Staff eager to please, efficient and helpful. Breakfast was okay, nothing special but fresh and comprehensive. Close to the heart of Fes. Would certainly recommend.

This Riad in Fez was great – I loved the 2 bedroom suite I had with the sitting room with home baking. Just delightful. The pool was small but freezing, just the way I like it and the staff were also delightful – despite me having to go down and ask them to turn off the music in the hamman at 11.30pm which was right under my room as it was being piped through the air vents at full volume! We had drinks on the rooftop terrace on night and the manager was lovely. Breakfast was not so great – only continental which was plated up in advance – being veggie, I asked for a separate plate of cheese – and the waiter just lifted the meat off the plate and placed fresh cheese when the meat had lain. Not great and we only had bread on the first morning with sweet pastries on the second.

It’s a lovely hotel and our ambassador suite room was very spacious. There were 2 bathrooms! The decor was very nice and the bed was really comfortable. The sitting area was large and beautiful too. The windows overlooked the pool area, which was quite. The shelves inside the wardrobe was dusty and the lighting was poor near the dressing area. We stayed for 2 nights and found the staff very helpful and polite. The buffet breakfast was average and didn’t have much Moroccan food. The salmon for dinner was nice. The desserts were delicious too. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is full of charm at every turn. The rooms are huge and there is great attention to details in the decor. The windows in the room were beautiful and overlook the beautiful courtyard. The beds were perfect and had wonderful sheets. The bathroom had nice touches like quality toiletries, slippers and robes. The breakfast buffet was among the best we had in all Morocco. The hotel personnel were all magnificent and provided excellent customer service. I was amazed to see in some past reviews that people did not like this hotel and called it old and worn. It is old, but clean and the old is what makes it so incredibly charming and beautiful. If you want new you probably belong in a more modern environment than Morocco. Highly recommend.

Excelent staff, very friendly, spacious rooms. Very clean. We got the chance to even see the rooms and then choose in which we would like to stay. Breakfast was delicious. Parking was behind the walls and about 20 meters from the hotel. We got the spot in the shades.

We had a booking for 1 night in Fez. This hotel is heritage but outdated. The room were suites but with a small bathroom. It was a good stay. Nothing special. Breakfast was OK. Entrance had construction debris. SEE photos.

Was once a nice Riad, now tired and smells a bit like mold (at least our room did). Nice staff. Good roof-top breakfast with view of the city. Large rooms, but past their prime. We were advised by our tour guide not to go outside in the area without him.
