There is 1 elevator that is accessible to guests, therefore, check-in was easy, but getting to the room with everyone arriving on tour took 20+ minutes. The shower stall [no bath] was short of a square meter, therefore, beware if you are a bit more round than tall. I woke up with a migraine and needed nourishment to keep it at bay. My wife and I sat down with a very meager plate in a dining room that had been near empty and the manager proceeded to kick us out, because the night before, without any warning, the telephone rang in our room and we were not consulted, just TOLD that our reservation was now @ 8 am. No manners, just an order. The manager was rude and angry when he found us, and made us feel as if we had crossed some imaginary line! Last I looked, hotels are there to serve their customers; had the manager been just straight forward or [god forbid] polite, I would have explained the situation - no chance of that. Nowhere have I ever felt more uncomfortable with the meager service and the unsolicited changes. There are many, many hotels in Fatima, as during holier days, they could be booked solid with no tents to rent, but this was not high season. I would imagine that many devout catholics would dream of such accommodations upon arrival, but we were just looking for a one-night visit. If ever you are in Fatima, beware of hyper-vigilant staff who seem to feel that they are doing us a huge favour by accepting our money and allowing us to eat. Wouldn't go back were they to send me the airfare and invite us back.

What I liked: 1. I found the staff in the restaurant excellent. They made sure I was accommodated based on my allergies at the included dinner provided by the tour. Even at breakfast, the staff were there to advise. This was impressive. 2. The breakfast was a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, and fruit. The only improvement is changing the orange juice since it tasted like Tang. This doesn’t make sense in a country with nice oranges. 3. Excellent location and pretty much across the street from the main churches with Fatima. What could be improved/didn’t like: 1. I had a very negative incident with front desk reception which was both disrespectful and unprofessional given my complaint was about a blood-coloured plasma stain on my bathroom wall. Since I started travelling post covid, I always wipe down and clean the hotel rooms with Lysol wipes. It makes me feel more secure. However, when we arrive in our room, we found a plasma like blood coloured stand on the side wall near the washroom faucet. I was not going to clean this by myself, since to me it looked like blood and the room should have been cleaned properly. I went to the front desk to report the issue. The front desk reception was very arrogant and dismissive. He gave me the impression that he thought I was making it up and just wanted to get rid of me. After insisting that it be cleaned, he agreed to send the Room Service Manager up to check. In the meantime, I went to dinner. When I returned from dinner, I saw the stain still on the wall. I assumed that no one came to check. I phoned reception and the front desk told me in an arrogant tone – “He didn’t see anything and there is no problem.” Honestly, I was livid. I couldn’t believe anyone could be so rude and dismissive. Fatima is a place people go for pilgrimages. I don’t see how this behaviour reflects the peace people seek in a pilgrimage. I told him I didn’t even know someone came in the room, since there was no note. I insisted that he come back, since I was now in the room. The Room Service Manger came, and I asked him to put on a mask. Then, we went into the washroom, and I showed him the stain. It was clear he didn’t see it from the last visit. He told me that he looked near the toilet. While he was cooperative and helpful, I was very annoyed. I said that I gave all the information to the front desk reception, and they neglected to pass on anything. He apologized and said he would send someone to clean it. Another lady came to clean the room and I also asked her to put on a mask. She cleaned up the stain in less than 5 mins and apologized that it was missed. I found her genuine. It is very unfortunate that a problem that should have taken 10 minutes to resolve took at least 30 minutes of my time on my vacation. I also didn’t appreciate being presumed a liar when the room was not cleaned properly. The Lysol wipes that I used to clean the room picked up dust and dirt. When I mentioned this prob

Rein und sauberes Hotel. Guter Ort, um sich und weg von der Hübsche und rush der Stadt zu ruhen. Super Frühstück verbreitet. Großer Personalservice. Vernünftig bezahlt. Kann täglich an der Masse teilnehmen, wie es nur neben der Kirche. Nahezu viele Essen wie Gelatine und jung Pizza Platz ”PizzaMia” - warme und frische Pizza.

Spent 5 days at this hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel itself was tidy and fresh and our room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was delicious and freshly served and was included as part of the package. The hotel is around a 10 to 15 minute walk from Our Lady of Fatima Sanctuary and only 5 minutes from the start of the Way of Cross. ALDI and other convenience stores are also nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you plan to visit the sites of Fatima!

Die Lage war direkt neben der Kathedrale von Fatima, so dass es sehr einfach war, nach der Messe zurückzukehren, und das Personal öffnete die Tür jedes Mal, wenn sie eintraten. Der Parkplatz war direkt vor der Haustür, so dass es sehr bequem war, Gepäck zu tragen und die Einrichtungen waren sehr gut.

Absolut lieb, in diesem Hotel zu bleiben! Effizienz, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr schöne Lobby-Bereich. Einfach eingerichtete, aber saubere und komfortabele Zimmer, die das Thema der Pilgerfahrt in dieser Stadt widerspiegeln. Ich liebe die Tatsache, dass sie in jedem Zimmer ein Kreuzzug haben! Alles funktionierte gut im Zimmer und die Betten waren sehr komfortabel! Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit erstaunlicher Aussicht auf die Erde und das Heiligtum. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend, weit von den lauten Pilgern, die leider sehr oft vergessen, dass es sich hier um eine Pilgerstadt handelt! Es gab eine große kostenlose öffentliche Parkplätze auf der Straße außerhalb des Hotels und ein Hotel-geeignetes privates Parkplatz direkt über der Straße. Wandern durch die Grundstücke des Hotels und das Picknick-Gebiet des Heiligtums führt Sie zum Rückteil der Basilica des Rosenkranz. Es ist ein kurzer, angenehmer Spaziergang - ca. 5 Minuten. Es gibt Kaffeegeschäfte und Restaurants in der Nähe von dem Hotel. Das Buffet Frühstück war Standard kontinentaler Preis. Nichts Fantastisch, aber reichhaltig. Keine heißen Gerichte. Frische Früchte wie Äpfel, Orange und Bananen waren verfügbar. Es war Selbstbedienung, die mir während dieser Pandemie nicht ideal war. Die Mitarbeiter sollten die, die das Essen servieren, um viele verschiedene Hände zu vermeiden, die die servierenden Zungen/Töchter zu behandeln. Zudem sollte das Essen jedes Mal, wenn Kunden mehr Lebensmittel wollen, auf einem sauberen, neuen Platte serviert werden. Damit die servierenden Zungen/Tüten nicht mit gegossenen Platten in Berührung kommen und dann wieder in die saubere Speisetasche zurückkehren. Es verhindert die Kontamination von Lebensmitteln. Einige andere Hotels in Fátima üben das tatsächlich an ihren Buffets, die wirklich eine sehr hygienische Praxis ist! Das Restaurantbereich war groß und Tische gut geräumt. Das Hotel bietet auch eine halbe und eine volle Tischplatte. Neben dem Frühstück hatten wir keine andere Mahlzeit da, so dass wir nicht zu der Qualität der Lebensmittel kommen können. Wir haben jedoch bemerkt, dass viele Portugiesische im Restaurant für Mahlzeiten kommen. Mittagessen oder Abendessen kostet € 11/person. Der beste Teil dieses Hotels war die schöne Kapelle mit der Anwesenheit des Herrn im Segens Sakrament! Massen werden hier jeden Morgen gesagt (7.45 a.m. an Wochentagen). Es war so ein Bonus für uns - um den Tag mit der Masse zu beginnen! Schön! Die Massen werden in Portugiesisch gesprochen, und die Atmosphäre ist so ruhig und geistig mit der Gemeinschaft (Präster, Nunzen und religiöse Legen) dort, dass ihr euch in Frieden und mit Gott fühlt. Insgesamt ist dieses Hotel ein guter Kandidat für diejenigen, die ihre eigene private Retraite durchführen wollen. Es hat eine ruhige, geistige Atmosphäre und ist sehr gut für Geld, da Frühstück in den Zimmerpreis eingeschlossen ist. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel sehr, besonders wenn Sie einen ruhigen Aufenthalt suchen. Ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Auf der Suche nach einem kleinen persönlichen Hotel auf der Strecke Richtung Lissabon sind wir per Zufall auf das Luz House gestossen. Wir waren bei der Ankunft sprachlos und überwälltigt. Die Liebe zum Detail ist in allen Ecken spür- und greifbar, das Zimmer war so detailgetreu eingerichtet, dass wir aus dem Staunen nicht mehr hinausgekommen sind. Die Leute sind superfreundlich, es sprüht vor Herzlichkeit. Noch nie im Leben haben wir so ein wunderbares Frühstück genossen,.einfach nur wow und wir haben unsere Seele baumeln lassen. Man möchte dort garnicht mehr weg. Wir kommen wieder und empfehlen es weiter. Vielen Dank für das Erlebnis.

The weather wasn’t great when we stayed, but the hotel’s complimentary bikes / e-bikes ( which you pay for ), mean you can explore the beautiful countryside which was ablaze with many varieties of wild flowers , there’s also great walking in the area. The hotel is quite quirky with its themed rooms, but they’re all very well sized , with bath tubs , with lovely views of nature . The food was excellent and the staff very discreet and helpful , a little bit formal however ! The building has been so well designed with lots of windows which embrace the stunning setting , congrats to the architect.
