Hotels in der Nähe von Leisure Park, Faro

First of all we have to say that we usually stay in hotels during our trips - however this time we tried out the Opus One in Faro because it looked really cozy and nice on the pictures...and we weren't disappointed ;-) The building and the decoration itself is very charming, the staff is super friendly and obliging and the breakfast is outstanding and delicious. Additionally, we tried out the wine and cheese pairing which was very informative and tasteful. We were also able to park our car near Opus One for free. We would definitely book again! ;-)

Wir hatten einen fünf-Nacht-Friedensurlaub in Faro und blieben in diesem Hotel, bequem gelegen mit Blick auf die Marina. Der Flughafenbus fällt Ihnen innerhalb von drei Minuten zu Fuß vom Hotel ab und der Bahnhof ist nur ein wenig weiter entfernt. Wir hatten Glück, ein schönes Zimmer mit Balkon zu haben, von dem wir die alte Stadt über die Marine sehen konnten. Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel und auch von guter Größe. Ein Nachteil des Hotels ist die kleinen Aufzüge vom Rezeptionsort bis auf die oberen Etagen: Wir benutzten die Treppen für einen einfacheren Zugang, nachdem wir Taschen in unser Zimmer genommen hatten. Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit einem angenehmen Bereich außerhalb, der sogar im November sehr warm war. Unterhaltung wurde von einem gebietsansässigen Pianist angeboten und etwas hinzugefügt zur allgemeinen Atmosphäre der Frühstückszeit. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden mit unserer Unterkunft und würden sicherlich noch einmal dort bleiben, wenn wir Faro besuchen.

I really enjoyed this hotel. It's a distance from all the faro amenities, but it only a few euros in an Uber to reach the heart of faro. There is a free shuttle bus each morning and evening to take you to and from the faro old town and the beach, but we chose to do things on our own schedule. It was only my son and I who stayed here for 4 nights. We loved how quiet the pool area was, and spent lots of time there. The hotel is basic, but clean and served our needs well. The air conditioning in the room was a must! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were all friendly, particularly the lady working at the bar. The hotel was clean, although a little dated. But that didn't bother us. Breakfast wasn't the best I've seen, but we enjoyed what he ate. Quality of food in general was poor. We had dinner by the pool one night, and it was terrible. But that is the only negative of our holiday. We booked the shuttle bus to take us to the airport after check out. This was a seamless process, and it was very helpful. All in all, we enjoyed our few days spent at hotel Monaco.

The service was correct, the bathroom quite acceptable, good. Comfortable beds and everything spacious. Being on the fourth floor, there was no noise from the street. The only downside is that you could hear noises like pipes, which was a bit annoying, you could hear that weird noise (we think) when others were taking showers or using the WC. We didnt have breakfast. In general, the experience was good and the staff was attentive.

When we checked in everything seemed okay until we got to our room. The room was way smaller than what was shown in the pictures on ***********, for the type of room we booked. They definitely gave us a smaller room than what we paid for. Apart from that, 4 (!) lamps in our room were broken and hanging loose from the wall and ceiling, exposing the electrical wires. The bathroom had mold in it, the showerhead was broken and the cup provided in the bathroom wasn't clean at all. We went to the front desk the same evening. The owner told us she didn't know about this (we later found out they just didn't care). She told us she could call maintenance the day after. They didn't have any other rooms available. And we had to come back again the day after. She didn't seem to wanna help us/care at all. The next day we talked to this other member of staff who offered moving us to one of their other properties in the city. She asked us to come back again the next morning. The next morning we spoke to someone different again about us being moved to the different property. Suddenly there was a different room available in the same property. When we got to the room we came to the conclusion that this was the room type we actually paid for. We also found out that they put new people in our old room without fixing anything. Overall the service was very disappointing and we weren't the only ones with problems. We also overheard other guests complaining at the front desk. The hotel also didn't offer any breakfast service even though they do mention this on ***********. The rooftop bar also wasn't open and there wasn't any other food or drinks service provided apart from a communal hostel kitchen. The rooms don't have hotel basics like a mini fridge, a safe and a kettle for tea. You can definitely get a better room somewhere else for a better price.

Das Hotel ist 500m vom Airport und zu Fuss zu erreichen. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig, die Zimmer ausreichend gross und sauber. Trotz der Nähe zu Strasse und Flughafen ist es sehr ruhig und man konnte sehr gut schlafen. Negativ: das Frühstück ist karg und den Preis nicht wert. Ausserdem habe ich ein Ladegerät im Zimmer vergessen und schnell mit Email darauf aufmerksam gemacht, aber es wurde merkwürdigerweise nicht gefunden. Bei unserer nächsten Übernachtung vor dem Abflug gab es nur ein Bedauern. Wegen der Nähe zum Flughafen und den Mietwagenanbietern wurde ich (ohne Frühstück) trotzdem wieder hier übernachten.

Das Wyndham Grand Algarve bietet alles was man sich in einem 5* Hotel wünscht/erwartet. Die Zimmer/Suiten sind toll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. 2 Bäder, 2 TV, Safe,Küche, Wohnraum mit Sofa, Tisch und Sesseln, sowie eine komplette eingerichtete Küche mit Kühlschrank , Mikrowelle, Spülmaschine, Toaster usw.(für die welche eine Küche benötigen), tägliche Reinigung und Handtuch Wechsel, schöner Poolbereich mit reichlich Liegen, tolle Spa Abteilung, großer Fitness Bereich, nette Mitarbeiter welche immer freundlich und hilfsbereit sind. Schöne Sports Bar mit einem großzügigen Aussenbereich/Terrasse, einmaliges Frühstücks Buffet (20€ p.P.) welches keine Wünsche offen läßt, lediglich das Dorado Restaurant hat uns enttäuscht, Suppe ohne Geschmack, Steak medium rar bestellt war beim erstmal komplett durch (Schuhsohle) und beim zweiten versuch fast roh. Danach haben wir es vorgezogen woanders zu speisen. Für Golfspieler ist Quinta do Lago natürlich ein Paradies. 7 Weltklasse Plätze laden innerhalb von 5 km zum spielen ein. Kosten pro Runde 160 - 190€, es gibt aber Packages, auf unterschiedlichen Plätzen, womit sich die Kosten reduzieren lassen. z.B. 3er Runde für 350€ oder 5er Runde für 500€ Wir können uns durchaus vorstellen unseren Urlaub nochmals dort zu verbringen.

Ein besonders gutes Hotel, es ist ein Palast, die Umgebung ist wunderschön! Aber die Lage ist in einem kleinen Berg. Fallo, schöne Landschaft! Der Hotelservice ist besonders gut, das Zimmer ist auch sehr groß, wir leben auf 0 Etagen, und außerhalb des großen Balkons kommen oft kleine Katzen, super schatzlich! Rein und komfortabel, ist die beste Hotels, die wir in Westporte wohnen. Das Frühstück ist gut! Das Hotel hat zwei Pools, sehr intim, ein kleiner Kinderpool mit 50 cm, besonders großartig!

The hotel is situated a short walk from the centre of Loule. It is a nice, clean hotel with lovely decor and friendly staff. Our room was big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety of choice and was tasty. The only real drawback is the view from our room was uninspiring. Overall, I would definitely stay again and would recommend it.
