"Seit vielen Jahren ist meine Familie hier Gast. Wir werden freundlich empfangen und genießen alle Annehmlichkeiten der Anlage. Für so ziemlich jeden Geldbeutel gibt es hier Angebote. Meine Kinder und ich lieben die Gardenrooms und auch die sehr modern ausgestatteten Reihenbungalows. Die Kinder sind gern gesehen und können sich frei in der Anlage bewegen. Der Pool ist bei uns großer Anziehungspunkt (hauptsächlich bei den Kindern). Ich würde mir wünschen, dass hier ein bisschen modernisiert wird. Die angebotenen Speisen und Getränke zu den Mahlzeiten und auch an der Bar sind ansprechend und schmecken. Bei Wünschen, Fragen oder Problemen kann man sich jederzeit an die Eigentümer- Familie oder/ und die fleißigen, herzlichen Mitarbeiter wenden! Für uns ist das Valley Village ein Zuhause auf Zeit, das zum Dorf unbedingt dazu gehört, wie die Felsen und die Katzen."

Villa Koutsakis

"I would like to say that this is the only negative experience in two weeks of holiday in Crete, with three huge oil ships to be trapped off the beach and one industrial establishment on the right. The beach is directly accessible from the hotel but it was under absolute degradation (waste around, broken shadows, artificial swamp pieces in the sand and large red-red nets on the edges of the beach). The rooms were completely scrapped and furnished with a garden table and some plastic chairs, so not suitable for dinner: two beds on three were rounded to not move at night. The "kitchen" consists of two malfunctioning electrical plates, one pad and a few stove, a mini refrigerator we had to turn off at night because it was lying every 10 minutes. Of course there is no trace of boiler, coffee machine, Plates ... all things we have always found in apartments that, among other things, cost much less. So in practice it is impossible to cook even a plate of pasta. In addition, the villa is located in a completely isolated area from everything: The first village with a mini market is about half an hour drive away, there is a decent single tavern in the surroundings, to reach the villa there is a fancy road and the last track is completely shredded in critical and very rigid conditions, I would like to add the only opinion that can be considered subjective about the owners' attitude that personally seemed unpleasant and cold. Not that they were hostile, because they answered my questions, but nothing to do with the sun and warm attitude that made us in love with Crete. In short, better avoid the villa Koutsakis, there are countless other better and even more cheap places where they spend the days."

Artemis Beach Studios

"Very beautiful place with sea view and an enchanting sunset from the terrace. The room, clean and fragrant, is well equipped with a mini fridge, electric stove, sink and all the accessories to be able to cook independently. The room is cleaned daily and the linen is changed every three days. We were pleasantly impressed by the kindness and helpfulness of the owner who welcomed us with great warmth, their aperitifs were excellent. The staff speaks English. The beach, in front of the room, is well equipped with a fixed umbrella and two deckchairs available to the structure at a cost of 5 euros per day which requires a representative of the municipality. In the immediate vicinity there are several bars and restaurants where you can eat very well at reasonable prices and a well-stocked supermarket. A rental car is recommended for getting around if you want to visit other beaches."

Melissa Hotel

"Hotel Melissa was absolutely fantastic! Very quiet, because it wasn't near the noisy center of Matala. The swimming pool wasn't cold even though the weather was still rather cool. The rooms and restaurant were spotlessly clean. The matrasses comfortable. Breakfast abundant and with a lot of choices. The owner very friendly and helpful. We loved the musquito screens, which allowed us to sleep with the balcony door open. We only used the airco for a few hours, but it was working very well. If you have mobility problems ask for a room near the restaurant, so that you don't have to use the stairs that lead to the other rooms."
