Quality Inn

My wife and I stayed 1 night, arriving at 2PM to the welcoming manager who processed our payment, then presented the key cards with the wifi. We walked up to the 2nd floor. Room #224 was vinyl plank/carpeted, clean and spacious with a very comfortable king, desk & chair, easy chair with duvet, closet bar, medium sized refrigerator, micro, coffee maker and medium sized TV(reduced screen) with a remote guide(Bloomberg, CNN, ESPNs, HBO, HGTV, PBS and Pittsburg networks & many more channels). A large opening window had a woodland view to the new WMT Supercenter. The large fully outfitted bathroom had a tub shower, grab bars and a fan. The outdoor pool was covered but I used the nice 4 station gym, Good secure wifi, ample outlets, good lighting and an under window AC/heat unit. The 6:30AM breakfast was good and serviced: juices, apples, corn flakes/cheerios, cheese omelet, yogurt, packaged muffins, bagels, toast and coffees. Overall, the property was a bit tired but we had a quiet night’s sleep and enjoyed our nice room.

This hotel is not up to Choice Hotel standards. I checked in to this hotel and immediately demanded another room. The bathroom was in complete disarray. Tile was cracking, the tub wasn't clean at all. I could not in my right mind keep my family in that room for 3 days. The 2nd room, was a bit better, but you could tell the room had been smoke in. The blankets were stained as were the curtains. I'm sorry but if a blanket is stained, it doesn't need to be used anymore. I saw housekeeping around the hotel cleaning rooms, but not once did I see anyone vacuum the hallways. They were filthy. Looked like they hadn't cleaned them in years. This Hotel claims to have been recently remodeled, i dont think so. This experience has made me rethink my commitment to Choice Hotels

Carpets in hallways are stained. First room shabby stains on chairs, bed tilted down..but we moved. 2nd room better, was quiet considering I think it was fairly full..baseball team of young adults did run around hallway but stopped around 11. Bed was comfortable. Front desk person at check in was nice.

We were there Labor Day weekend. It was a good stay. Check-in was efficient and courteous. We were able to park near the door. The room was amply sized, perfectly clean and the king-sized bed was comfortable. The pool was operating, but we didn't try it. There was no noise whatsoever. The Wi-Fi connected easily; I didn't measure speed, but streaming video worked fine. The breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, yoghurt, fresh waffles, muffins, orange juice, cereal and bagels (probably some other stuff I didn't notice). The only negatives were that the room smelled a little musty at first, although I didn't notice it afterwards. The TV/Cable box required two remotes that were a little tricky to figure out (just be sure the TV input is set to HDMI1). Note to you EV drivers: this hotel is 1/2 mile from the Tesla Supercharger at Sheetz. Also, this hotel is pet friendly, although we didn't bring ours this trip.

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years, and must sdmit this one rates at the bottom. Room was musky and moldy smelling. Sheets and linen was damp. Beds were uncomfortable and old, worn out. Fridge had only one setting, freeze your food mo settings. Shower handle and spouts loose and hard to set water temp. Loud noises non stop from room above like construction going on. Online pics were misleading, didn't reflect actual room. Terrible overall.

I'll start with the negatives. Not as clean as we'd have liked. There was a pile of chat/gravel inside the doorway, room faintly smelled like smoke, stains on AC, stairway filthy and the area around the side entrance had trash everywhere. The chain lock on our door had been removed. Most upsetting was the clerk questioned why my husband didn't come in to do the check in since his name is on our Platinum Choice account. I had to explain that he doesn't walk well and I had all the proper ID. He made me validate all the info in our Choice account. This seems to be a thing lately with Quality Inns because after using Choice exclusively for 30+ years, it's only happened at QI. The positives were a large, quiet room with a comfy bed. The wifi worked well and there were lots of TV channels. Breakfast was adequate but not much variety. Due to these issues, we won't stay here again.

We selected this hotel because it had pet friendly rooms and convenient highway access. The long, steep driveway and crumbling parking lot scared us upon arrival. The restaurant next door was empty and abandoned. What were we getting into? Inside, we found an appealing lobby and welcoming staff. Our room was clean, with a fresh coat of paint, but the furniture needed updating (as we so often unfortunately find in pet friendly rooms). The mattress needed replacing and the linens were skimpy. There was a pet stain on the box spring coverlet - it would be easy to remove that to wash or replace if cleaning staff were attentive. For small pet owners, be aware that there was no box frame underneath the bed so pets can hide underneath. The bathroom was large and had a nice vanity and excellent lighting. Unfortunately the shower had been cheaply updated with an fiberglass insert that wasn’t in the best condition. The breakfast offerings were quite good and varied and there were plenty of tables available in the lobby. The pool was in the process of being filled and it looked to be a pleasant outdoor area. There were no longer any restaurants within walking distance- as the website led you to believe. Closest are a Mexican restaurant and a Dennys but it was also easy to get to restaurants downtown along the river walk within 3-4 miles.

The hotel continues to fall into disrepair. The entrance road is brutal. Renovations that were done a few years ago were poorly done and the bath tubs are disgusting. Floors in the room were sticky We have stayed here for many years on our way home from South Carolina. Very convenient to Interstate 79. I just checked my credit card and a mysterious $5 charge was added to my card….No information what the additional charge was for and I wasn’t informed of it and I didn’t authorize it. We will be looking for a new hotel next April 1.

Nothing fancy. Actually, the only perk about this place is its convenient location. The second floor hallway smelled of sweaty bodies and smoke, furniture had zero cushioning left (and didn’t match the crazy color scheme of the room), and the carpet felt damp, kinda spongey. I’d have forgiven all of that for a good night’s sleep but, NOPE! Bed was hard as a rock, with nasty polyester sheets, and the poor old HVAC unit couldn’t get the room to a comfortable temp til about 5am. Should have driven into town.
