I stayed three nights at this B&B with my 16 year old daughter on our French Polynesia trip covering Bora Bora (St. Regis Bora Bora in an overwater bungalow for three nights), Huahine (3 nights) and Fakarava (Fafapiti Eco Lodge). We stayed in the two bed unit that was oceanfront at Tifaifai and the stay was wonderful. Flora (proprietor) picked us up at the Huahine airport and drove us first to the supermarket in town, which is a 7 minute or so car ride or 20 minute bike ride from the B&B. We bought drinks and some snacks, which we stored in the fridge in our room. Rooms have no AC, but the breeze from ocean was more than enough to keep us comfortable. Rooms have a private bathroom with hot shower (solar heated, but we got warm water in the morning too), fridge and two comfortable beds. And beachfront. There are kayaks that you can use for free to kayak in front of the B&B, which is a shallow lagoon protected by the barrier reef. We snorkeled right in front of the B&B, but you can also walk five minutes to the “Sofitel Beach” which has a much better and deeper snorkeling reef. You can also walk to Melanie’s art studio, about five minute walk. For dinner, we ate at the food trucks in town (Flora was kind enough to drive us and other guests there and back) two nights and we ordered in one night with a local caterer, both around $15 for entrees, which is super reasonable in French Polynesia. The food trucks were especially a good deal, and we had super fresh tuna that was unloaded at the dock in front of the trucks, or you had a steak option as well. We would suggest renting bicycles during your stay, about $20/day for normal bikes delivered to the B&B, we rented electric bikes for around $55/day and used these to bike around the two islands, which is about Four hours total. You can also rent a car, which Flora will organize for you. For activities, we did the electric bikes self guided tour of Huahine (pearl farm is about 15 minutes by bike, and getting to far end of the smaller island for lunch is about 1.5 hours. We did the snorkel picnic, which is a super good all day activities, $80/person lunch included. We really loved this place, and loved the laid back atmosphere of Huahine compared to the St. Regis stay we arrived from. Flora is fluent in English and is super kind in helping our stay and was a great host. We would definitely come back.
