Manor Hotel

Only stayed for one night.Restaurant not open,nobody serving at the bar.Waited for half an hour.One poor member of staff valiantly trying to cover everything.Room was clean but tired unmatched decor.Issue with room key card entry system.Function room smelt damp when I accessed the car parking.

Staff lovely, location perfect and central. Nice bar. But the single room I had was awful. Tiny, tired decor, even less welcoming than a poky student study room. View of rooftops. One pace from the bed to the shower room/toilet, three paces from one end of the room to the other. Luckily I was only there 2 nights with some friends and was able to be in the depressing little room as little as possible. I've given a grudging 3 stars, but I really think this should be a storeroom not a guest bedroom.

Stayed in room 323. Absolutely stunning view over the estuary and surrounding landscape. What a bargain! I have stayed in so many hotels over the past decades and am familiar with being thrifty where work expenses are concerned. This hotel is fantastic value for money. On arrival the person at reception, Monday 14th, was brilliant and he was again there next morning and just as efficient. My room was a single on the top floor and had everything that the business traveller needs. It even had a walk in shower and not one of those fixed shower heads that I absolutely loathe. Bed comfortable, quiet, and spotless. Even the seagulls were quiet! Would highly recommend and would return if ever working in the area again.

Arrived and the hotel was freezing,got keys and was told heating will come on soon room wasn't the one I had paid for that was freezing and got a key for another room which was ok but freezing asked at reception and was promised it will be warm when we got back later in the evening.arrived back about 9.00 pm ISH went to the bar while my wife parked the car FREEZING in the bar, 2 other customers arrived in the bar and complained they were cold so he offered them a plug in heater but not us they said they had been here for two days and hadn't any heating in there room only two plug in heater..we said to the boy on reception we were going to leave and wanted our money back but apparently he wasn't allowed to do anything, eventually got a manager who was reluctant to help us and accused me and my wife of threatening his staff and had it on CCTV .. we got hold of expedier and was sorted just as the hotel manager phoned me at my work and threatened to say if I didn't take the bad review off he would stop the payment never heard anything like this before,we did receive the refund from ******* But can honestly say never stay here,,,the hotel smells of Indian food,I like curry but in the right place.

The hotel was clean and the bedroom tidy. We had a second floor room with fabulous views over the estuary. The hotel presumably caters for larger groups at times as there was plenty of areas for drinks and even a dance floor in the rear room. The staff were very polite and helpful although I don’t like being asked to give a good review! We had breakfast at the hotel where there was plenty of choice but the bacon was very tough. It’s a pity the windows in our bedroom weren’t clean for the amazing views too. Parking at the rear of the hotel was charged and was limited.

We went for the first time to this hotel not to stay but for their Jazz Evening last night. Their guest singer was Mawgen and she was brilliant. We have seen her before but not in Exmouth. Congratulations to The Manor Hotel for booking her. We shall look forward to going there again. Although we didn't eat there the food looked good and was appreciated by the diners. Well done to all concerned.
