Premier Inn Exmouth Seafront

I didn’t expect a huge room for a standard but this was so small! Difficult to sit at the desk/dressing table because it’s so close to the end of the bed. The breakfast was decidedly underwhelming, almost cold beans, bacon and tomato with the mushrooms looking a week old at least. It was the same both days. Had dinner one evening, not the best I’ve ever eaten. The portion of chips served with my husband’s pie was pitiful. Staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing

I stayed in 118 room was nice and spacious with a lovely team was welcoming grate location for being on the beach wifi was stomg and reatarunt has good food for the price short waiting times plenty of parking and close to the door of hotel. Will saty again.

Stayed here on several occasions and never been disappointed, location is perfect, car park at the rear- charged but not a problem. This time however I can’t give it 5 stars purely because the service was not at the usual standard I’ve previously experienced. The receptionist when we checked in was clearly fed up, not particularly friendly in fact almost sarcastic at times. Breakfast the next morning was a shambles 2 staff running round doing everything from manning reception, booking people in for meals and running the dining room. As a result tables were left uncleared and messy, the buffet not replenished, having to hunt for cutlery and side plates, no coffee as both machines empty needed refilling ,it’s not the staffs fault, there’s clearly not enough of them so they’re just fed up, as a result we didn’t book breakfast for the following morning and went elsewhere. Come on premier inn, sort this out and employ more staff especially during school holidays. We will still return as we love the location but wouldn’t bother with breakfast

Be aware that the hotel is covered in scaffolding and don’t look great, it certainly don’t look like the picture on the website looks very run down. You are paying the same prices for scaffolding outside your window. Premier plus rooms on the second floor, family rooms on third floor so it’s very noisy. Staff over run trying to manage reception desk, dining room, bar etc, felt like we had to apologise for the inconvenience of ordering a drink at the bar. The extraction fan in the bathroom did not work but I just could not be bothered to say in the end as when I complained about all the noise from the family above I was told I had to wait till 10.00 at night before anything could be done so I just gave up really It’s a shame but don’t feel like I want to go back there again.

We stayed in a sea view room in the midst of the of the worst named storms to hit the south west. It was dramatic outside, inside was cosy and safe. We snuggled in bed watching the sea get angrier. Hotel is good, clean and spacious, breakfast great and really catered for gluten-free vegans!

Great welcome. Reception team were grear. Clean hotel. Short drive from Royal Marine training camp. Breakfast was late serving hot food and lady in front of house didnt seem happy to be up early! Evening bar staff had poor knowedge. Would use again but have a deink elswhere!
