"The Crown Hotel is exceptional. Staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you, the room was immaculate with everything you need, a very comfortable bed, tea, making facilities and a lovely hot shower. We stayed on a winters day and it was great to return to the hotel that was so warm and cosy with the fires all lit. The breakfast was delicious. we had dinner in the hotel which was exceptional with a good choice on the menu. I would highly recommend the Crown Hotel and will definitely be returning."

"Lovely old building, could do with a little TLC, but a refurbishment is happening soon. Fantastic, friendly hosts and staff. Chef is amazing, all food was tasty and plentiful. Beautiful surroundings. Well stocked bar, tv in room a little small ! Would definitely return."

"Von der zweiten, die wir in der Dame hinter der Bar gingen, war sehr schön und machte uns sehr willkommen. Sie setzte uns und gab uns Zeit, das Menü zu betrachten und ein Getränk zu bestellen, bevor es schön war. Das Essen kam nach einer kurzen Wartezeit und war genau das, was Sie erwarten würden große Geschmack-Portionen für einen guten Preis. Hatte eine schöne Chat mit der Landmaid nachdem sie sehr freundlich war und sichergestellt, dass unser Essen perfekt war. Wird sicher wieder kommen, wenn in der Gegend wieder. Sehr empfehlenswert!"

"Another enjoyable evening meal at the Lorna Doone restaurant. I now always make sure to pre-book to avoid disappointment; it's easy enough to do. Staff are always welcoming and helpful and the little dining room is very cosy. This time I had a glass of delicious Merlot with the Cajun chicken, which was tasty and just at the perfect side of spicy for me. Previously I enjoyed the Lamb Three Ways and the slow cooked beef ribs. I didn't intend to have pudding, but opted again for the rhubarb & ginger affair... My companions also love the Lamb, but this time had the Saltimbocca, which they really enjoyed."

"Was für ein wunderbares Pub ist das! Eigentümer Jane und ihr Team machen eine unglaubliche Arbeit, die Gäste zu Hause fühlen. Wir waren dort für eine große Familienparty - 15 von uns. Jane hat uns in ihr sehr spezielles Partyzimmer mit gemütlichen Speisebereich und gemütlichen Sofa-Abschnitt reserviert. Der Tisch wurde mit Tafellabeln und Blumen schön dekoriert. Jane sagte uns, wir könnten so spät wie wir wollten aufstehen und feiern (Lage bedeutet andere Gäste nicht gestört). Pub hat eine gemütliche Bar-Bereich mit Feuerplatz sowie ein weiteres Essensbereich von hier aus. Wunderbare Schlafzimmer, komfortable Betten und leckere kochierte Frühstückszuhause. Viele erstaunliche Wanderungen auf Exmoor direkt von der Tür.Kann nicht genug über unseren Aufenthalt sagen! Sehr sehr empfehlen!"

"Meine Frau und ich genossen ein leichtes Mittagessen hier nach dem Besuch Tarr Steps und einen angenehmen Spaziergang neben dem Fluss.Die Begrüßung war freundlich und effizient.Da es einen schönen Tag war, saßen wir draußen , unsere Speise kam in guter Zeit und wurde gut vorgestellt , Meine Frau hatte einen Ploughmans und ich Caesar Salat, beide waren wirklich nett.Wir haben kein Problem empfehlen dieses Restaurant.Oh, ich vergaß, wir beide hatten Sticky Toffee Pudding ... sehr nett !"
