Well where to start, we holidayed here in August 2023 on a TUI holiday. We had an early morning flight from Manchester and then a hour + bus ride. On arrival we were informed our rooms were not ready and to go away and come back in a couple of hours. Go away and do what? Sunbathe in our travel clothes? So we went to get lunch in the main restaurant, as we found out the main restaurant is for whole huge hotel, which holds over 1000 guests. The restaurant is not big enough for the volume of people, tables are very close together to try to get everyone in. First day food was fair, but we soon found out this was a one off as in general the food was terrible and so repetitive. Our rooms were ready now once we found them in the maze of room blocks. Our two rooms were adjoining, both should have had a balcony, but only our daughters did. We complained but as the hotel was full no options were available. Our air conditioning was faulty, we reported this and engineers came for 6 days consecutively trying to fix it. In the end we gave up. We were next to the stairs in our concrete block and the noise late into the night was awful and then we were woke every morning by the cleaners cleaning the stairs and banging the brush into the wall on every step. Moving to the pool areas, there are a number of pools, we used the nearest to us as it was near the slides. There were quite a few sun beds which got towels placed on them very early in the morning. The slides were great and the kids loved them, however, all around the pools and slides are the most slippery tiles which are very dangerous when wet. We witnessed 3 falls whist there for 11 days, one teenage boy who knocked himself unconscious, an elderly man and my wife, who slipped on the wet tiles after exiting the wave pool area. The entry / exit to here is via an incline which is 50% covered in fake grass and the other 50% just the tiles. She fell and seriously hurt her shoulder, I wasn’t there at the time, but an onlooker saw it and tried to summand a lifeguard, who replied he could not leave his area and to go to the first aid room down another slippery slope, all this time my wife was on the floor in pain. We did report the accident to reception and TUI who in all honesty didn’t make much of it at all. To put you in the picture most of the lifeguards don’t speak English and do not even have the basics in first aid. When the teenager fell, four of them were stood around him, they didn’t know what to do, so an English guest took over the situation, he was trained in first aid. For lunch you can eat at the main restaurant or at the beach cafe. At least the food was ok at the cafe if you could find a table. There were plenty of pigeons around to pick up the dropped food, huge wasps too. The food in the restaurant as we said before was poor, uncooked vegetables, we never saw a joint of meat, one night there was a chicken curry but no rice, rabbit stew was available though. I have put a couple of pics on of t
