Had a fab 10 days at the Damia. A 15 minute walk into Sidari but preferred more rustic Greece at Bikolis or Orchard taverna’s also a 15 minute walk away in the quiet countryside . Nice clean pool area with plenty of sun beds. Damia and her boys made the stay really welcoming especially Dimitrius with his stories at the bar and advice on all the best places to visit including the sunset beach a 30 minute walk away. Definitely worth a visit 👍

I booked this last year for myself and three kids fifteen , eighteen and twenty one I thought I had booked two rooms but actually when arrived it was one room The two younger were on smaller beds than a single - rooms were clean and actually there was enough floor space that we weren’t tripping over each other beds a bit on the hard side but once you had done the first night on it you got used to it Note if you want air conditioning you will need to pay ninety euro for one week 144 for two bedroom one week , so worth taking this into.consideration Next time would make sure I had booked two rooms but we managed fine for a week and it was nice for us to be all together Pool is a nice size and you could always get a sunbed - we only spent two days central to the hotel as Sidari has so-much to offer The walk to Sidari is about twenty minutes which we didn’t mind as my children are older and was a good way to get your steps in - however is really hot and first day got some really bad blisters from wearing new sandals If you had younger kids and pushchairs I would consider a hotel closer to Sidari There is only a path for half of the walk and cars do seem to come close to you but if you face the traffic and walk in single line is okay Can get a taxi which cost six euros to sidari but add this to your cost as we were often walking to and from twice daily Some lovely tavernas as you reach Sidari the 50/50 had really nice food and there was Eviva that does the nicest coffee and waffles that we walked along here a few times for breakfast Before going into any tavernas we did a quick check of reviews as the first night we had a poor meal All those after were delicious and was so nice to try different ones my son had a t bone in Greek captain and it was so cheap it was a lovely meal Sidari itself has something for everybody The beach has sunbeds and most bars will charge but then you can use the charge to purchase drinks we used castaway which have comfy sun beds cost twenty five euros for two but then that paid for drinks and food which is reasonable priced Close to the canal damour which we swam around the peninsular Although the tide does not seem to come in and out it is deeper at certain times of the day so keep an eye out can almost wade out when it’s shallow Sun loungers safe to leave your belongings just took my phone money in a waterproof wallet that I swam with On the whole Damia hotel was lovely Is peaceful and the pool is set away from the road which is nice as a lot of the hotels they were straight onto the road Damia was helpful and if you needed any advice always there to ask Hotel clean and had everything you need You will have a lovely break away here

Just returned after a two week stay which was amazing. You are treated as part of the family and they are so so welcoming, Damia's boys are so friendly and cant do enough for you. Perfect location for us, as we enjoyed visiting the local tavernas in the area. The pool was the biggest one I've seen and the kids loved it. Our room was perfect, lovely and clean, comfy beds, nice clean towels, the cleaners do a fantastic job. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel.

We had a wonderful stay with Damia and her boys at this hotel. The room had a double bed and bunk beds which was ideal for myself, hubby and girls. Everyone was extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The service and food were great. The location for us was perfect. Far enough from town to enjoy the peace but not too far to all amenities. Nearest shop was literally 2 minutes walk away. We hired a car for our stay and there was always parking at the hotel. Damia was always on hand and her boys were friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely and the rooms were clean and tidy. We have no complaints. Thank you to the whole team at hotel Damia.

Great pool,further out,not too far away from everything about 20 minute walk,great staff,family run,would definitely visit again,bar open late,I'm a young traveller still enjoyed it,room not too far away from the pool,we had a pool view,thanks to dimitris he made our holiday great!

Just back from great holiday with the family , so welcoming and friendly, Dimitri is lovely and called us all by our names which was lovely ! Met some great people and will deffo return ! The only negative would be the shower curtain !! Sooo annoying but it's minor and wouldn't mention it but I have to write 200 characters ha haa , Thankyou Damia xx

Just back from a fabulous 2 wk holiday staying at the damia hotel our 3rd visit Damia & her wonderful family can’t do enough for you rooms are equipped with all you need and are cleaned often clean towels every 2 days Dimitris & twins will keep you laughing at the bar & it has the most amazing pool

This is a genuine honest review, you're not paying 5* prices so shouldn't expect 5* treatment. The hotel is clean, in need of an update as the decor is tired but overall its a pleasant budget friendly stay. There were pros and cons to our visit. We arrived after midnight so noone around, just a sign on the window with your name and room number. The heat was immense and we didn't realise you can't use the air con unless you pay for it and with noone around to speak to We had to suck it up. With no option but to open the patio doors, we were quite literally eaten alive by mosquitoes. Between the 4 of us, we had around 50 bites! Brought air con the next day which is €140 for the week so budget this into your holiday! It is so needed! The units overheat and there was a fire, so can only use for a few hours per day. Pool is clean and tidy and sunbeds plentiful. No early morning dash. Everyone is respectful. Cocktails are lush! Food choices are limited but okay, we did have undercooked pork one day, but this was replaced. 20 min stroll takes you into Sidari and €6 taxi back. Calypso was our favourite restaurant along with the Greek Taverna. Very nice food and such lovely welcoming atmospheres at both. On arrival I asked for late checkout as we didn't leave until 6.30pm. Checkout is at 10am. I was told there were no rooms, which was fine. Its a busy season but I could have a room for us all to shower. This was really important for us as my daughter has a chlorine allergy. I said I'd come to Recpetion at 4pm (twice) and was told this was okay. Went to reception and told there's no rooms for a shower. No shower was not an option for my daughter so I had to resort to using the Gardeners hose on the front lawn of the hotel to shower her. This was a really disappointing end to our stay as overall it was okay! We had to get ready in Reception and they smoke a lot inside. Something we're not used to in the UK so was quite overpowering. Although, I appreciated it was busy. I was really frustrated that at 5.30pm a couple arrived to check in. Despite being told there were no room at all to slip into, everyone had arrived early. Had I have known there would be no rooms, surely yoy know when guests are arriving? I would've avoided the pool on our last day! Clearly there was a room, as someone checked in after we'd asked and there would have been time to clean it...I would've even cleaned it myself if needed! We would've only used the bathroom! I'd read that they really look after you, hence booking the hotel but this didn't appear to be the case.

OMG!! Sitting here laughing my head off at the bad reviews!! What a load of claptrap. If you prefer a hotel with no soul, clinical, impersonal and being treated as an inconvenient nuisance,surrounded by loud bars ..Then don't stay here. If you want friendly, hospitable,genuinely warm welcoming hosts and you want the real greece/greek family experience, where you are treated as one of the family and nothing is a bother to the hosts..THEN BOOK NOW! The insect situation it's an extremely hot and hummid island in the summer, so the same rules apply as home of an evening don't sit inside with bright lights and doors open, buy a 3 euro can of spray and spray room before going out at night the properly close all windows on returning to room put your aircon on and you will have no issues. Common sense prevails!! Absolutely fantastic homely place to stay and a place where true friends and wonderful memories are made..thankyou damia receptionist of the year! And all family and staff xx
