Victoria Inn

Spent a wonderful weekday with my sister at The Victoria Inn. This B&B came highly recommended and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our accommodations. From the time we stepped foot into her home to the minute we departed, Vicke’s hospitality exceeded our expectations. A charming get away and a place you will want to visit.

We had a 1 night stay in Erie and having never been there before we were looking for something unique and in downtown Erie. We hit the jackpot with The Victoria Inn! Only a block away from State street and Perry Square and only 4 blocks to the water and Bicentennial Tower. Our room was very quiet and spotless and had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay. And the next morning brought the best part of all - meeting the owner Vicki and enjoying the most absolutely amazing breakfast! We were so very glad we chose to stay here over a hotel or AirBnb! We really wished we could have stayed longer!

Thank you Jeff & Vicke for going over and above in making sure we had a wonderful experience, and for making us feel as family. We truly loved our stay. Breakfast was delicious, great cook. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and so was the rest of the building, very nicely and tastefully finished. Vicke gave my wife key places to visit, and they were fantastic. I could not possibly have asked for anything else. The stay exceeded our expectations. We have already made plans to return, very soon.

Those who have written before me have said it all.....but, here are my comments: Pros: Location: (A+) Parking, Free, On-sight (A+) Proprietors: (A+) accommodating, friendly, helpful, go the extra mile, etc. Water pressure: Insane! (A+) Hot Water: Scalding! (A+) Cleanliness: (A+) Breakfast: One of the best I had. Gormet and freshly prepared. (A+) Meal presentation eye-popping and delightful. (A+) Tea: Choices are endless. Available 24/7. High quality. Organic. (A+) Goodies: available 24/7. Assortment of snacks and candies. Coffee: K-Cups. (Second floor) available 24/7 Eco-Friendly paper products/soaps, etc. (A+) "All" bedrooms are on second floor. (B) Electronic keys pads on bedroom doors. (A+) Overhead fan a plus. Windows open and close easily for fresh air (A+) Bathroom exhaust a plus. Cons: No elevator. 15 steps to the second floor. Not handicap accessible (to my knowledge) Pertaining to my room (Twin beds) Linens need upgraded to a higher quality. Towels poorly absorbant. Sheets on twin bed were pilling. Scratchy. Though clean, bottom sheet was visably stained in two places. That said, I am sure I missed something, but overall, the Victoria Inn is a winner and I would not hesitate to recommend it to one and all. I have stayed in B&B's all over the country and Canada and this one rates five stars.

Thank you Vickie and staff for a memorable anniversary visit. From the exceptional, bountiful breakfast to the top of the line linens, Vickie pays much attention to the fine details. Since it was a special occasion, she surprised us with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a card, and special cupcakes from Ye Olde Bakery Shop. She also did this for my birthday a few years ago. Garden areas were lush and beautiful with some quiet areas for a little "happy hour"! It is obvious that Vickie enjoys this time of her life and shares that joy with her guests.

The beautiful, warm house, along with a very comfortable bed with gorgeous bedding was second to the gracious hospitality we experienced. Victoria (Vicke) made us feel like family the moment we walked in. That’s not an exaggeration. We also loved the inviting, shared space. So much so that at one point we decided to head back early from our day excursions to relax in the parlor with some coffee to read. And the breakfast…oh the breakfast…I will miss you!
