Hotel Pilier d'Angle & Wellness

Fantastic autentic Aosta hotel! We have just spent a week over Christmas at Pilier D’Angle as a scandinavian family of 8, and we had a wonderfull stay. Lovely hotel, very cosy and clean and with excellent food and service. We do not understand the 3 star rating which ought to be at least 4! But we do understand the Guide Michelin recommandation! Host Danilo is very helpfull and always we felt at home. We will definately be back😊!

We could not have been more delighted with our stay at this hotel. It simply isn’t a 3 star hotel - totally deserving of higher! It’s clean and full of charm. Run by a lovely family who go the extra mile and they work so hard. The staff are brilliant and so friendly. The food is great - in particular the half board set menu was super value and totally yummy (my wife and I are real foodies!!). The room has everything you need - comfy bed, warm and loads of hot water for the shower when you come off the slopes. Walking distance to the main gondola up the mountain and you can store skis/boots at the ski hire shop (who give you a discount for staying at this hotel) that is right next door to the gondola. Highly recommend, we will be back!

The Hotel is a cute mountain style chalet, located in a quaint village and a short walk to the ski station. Our room was in the main Chalet, The room was clean with a big window for natural light . The room has a nice little balcony and came with a beautiful view of Mt Blanc. However, the bathroom was quite small, especially the shower cubicle. This could be a charming mountain hotel, but unfortunately it is missing the hospitality and warmth , that makes for a charming hotel. We have been coming to Courmayeur every ski season in the last many years. Here in Pilier d"Angle we did not feel the warmth that Courmayeur usually gives us, instead just a cold distant reception, the entire stay.

We were a group of 11 - the main feedback was that Danillo, our host, went above and beyond in making our stay as comfortable and hassle-free as possible. There's a van to/ from the Val Veny lift whenever you want it and you can leave your skis at the bottom of the lift or keep in the hotel's boot room. Danillo had made sure our rooms (spotlessly clean and alpine in feel) were all together as requested. The meals were delicious (worth mentioning in advance if you are vegetarian) and staff charming. Good to have several sitting areas near the bar, so groups could find their own space. There's an option of a spa which included a hot tub and sauna, with a stunning view of the mountains, in the snow, plus indoor tub, steam, sauna etc.. (currently, due to covid, you need a minimum of 5 people then they close it to others until it's cleaned). The hotel is in a quiet village just outside Courmayeur (10 mins by bus). Sadly we missed the local nightclub, Shatoush, but will be back to check it out!

Rooms are immaculately clean and and very comfortable.The food was amazing (Michelin award 2019) and great local wines recommended by T the friendliest giant of a waiter..The reception staff were so obliging and went the extra yard to please.A family run hotel with great waitering staff too.Spa facilities first class.Ten minute walk to ski shop and lift.Theres a bus to the centre of which is busy for shops bars etc.Overall wonderful trip.

Excellent and Top , I cam in This hotel for the first time, my sister toll me to go this Hotel, it is nice hotel like stay in the family and very friendly, the rooms very nice and very clean. I will come back again. Excellent. Next time I will try the spa for this time no much time to do it .
