Boutique Hotel Elburg met Tapperij

The hotel is nice and clean, and there is a nice cafe and ok restaurant in the hotel. It’s an old house with steep stairs. The room was big and the bathroom was nice. Our stay was sadly a bit ruined by them claiming I had ran away from a bar bill. I understand that such things as falsely accusing customers can happen, but what I found unprofessional, was the fact that they at first were insisting, and when I contested their claim (we were not even in the country at the time the drinks were registered on the bill), they did not react. No communication, no trying to figure out what had happened, no excuses. Just total silence.

Newly renovated bathroom with no legroom between toilet and sink, not enough hooks for towels and the only place to put toiletries while showering is on the floor. The room was adequate with a comfortable bed but the heating could only be adjusted to off or blast furnace. Not comfortable for lounging or reading. The frame of the chair poked through the upholstery. If boutique is a euphemism for poor value for money, this fit the bill. The restaurant was very uncomfortable. Our table backed on a radiator so one person sat with their back against the radiator knob. We were offered another table temporarily but would have to leave it for another reservation although we had a reservation too and were guests in the hotel. The food was not very good. I'd expected tapas to be Spanish influenced, but it was a weird mix of bits with sickly sweet veggies, hard dumplings and dried out desserts probably hailing from the wholesalers freezers. The service was terrible. At first the hostess was attentive but as the evening wore on, the waitresses studiously ignored us. We felt as if we were unwelcome while we booked 3 nights with the intention of eating and drinking and spending some money while enjoying beautiful Elburg. I don't really know why our experience was so bad considering all the other good reviews. Too bad this is the only hotel in town. It was truly a disappointment and left a blemish on what was supposed to be an enjoyable getaway. We'll come back to Elburg but will not be giving our business to this place again.

De luxe kamer was mooi ingericht maar erg koud en tochtig . Door harde wind gingen de uitstaande parasols aan de gevel klapperen, wat resulteerde in lawaaiige nacht. Het luxe ontbijt op de kamer was erg karig en niets luxe aan. Geen succesvol verblijf hier, jammer.

Heerlijk weekend gehad met 13 personen in Hotel Elburg. Het is een mooi oud pand en knus ingericht. Gezelligheid staat voorop, schone kamers heerlijk gegeten (tapas) en vriendelijk personeel die alles voor je willen doen! Zeker een aanrader bij een bezoek aan het vesting stadje Elburg.,

Een gezellig weekend gehad met mijn mams! Wat een heerlijke kamer en super vriendelijke mensen. Heel gastvrij! Oh en super lekker glutenvrij brood!! Dat is een verademing heerlijk, vers lekkere harde broodjes mmmmm. En zo midden in het centrum, top! En gewoon iets verderop je auto gratis kunnen parkeren, dat voelt ook luxe.

Wat een geweldig boutique hotel, fijne kamers en heerlijk eten in de Tapperij! Van begin tot het einde, alleen maar warmte ervaar je hier. Échte hospitality! Elburg mogen we ook niet vergeten te benoemen, authentiek stadje met leuke boutique winkeltjes! Wij komen sowieso nog een keer terug.
