Stayed 5 nights and loved the resort. Small boutique adult only resort, very low key, off the beaten path. Rooms are huge, 900+ sq ft large bath tub middle of the room, huge glass shower with hand sprayer and oversized rain shower. Once we figured out the hot water, the shower was life altering! Large closet with plenty of hanging space shelves and digital safe. King size bed and couch, all leading to the room width glass wall/doors looking at the balcony and ocean. We had a pool level room but you are a few feet above the pool deck. 2 loungers, a table and the plunge pool on the balcony. And power open/close heavy blinds over the windows/doors-push a button on the remote and the room gets DARK! There is no beach directly in front of the resort, but either end of the pool deck has stairs to access the beach. Either side of the resort is beach, to the south is the nicer beach, and there is a message stand and vendor for scuba, parasail etc right next to the resort on the beach. The pool is the full width of the resort, infinity edge, ample chairs and several beds, first come first serve on the beds. We spent lots of time just hanging on the pool wall, sipping drinks, watching the surf, boats and people playing in the sea. The staff around the pool are very attentive, bringing you drinks, food, towels, whatever you need. With only 38 rooms, 2 max per room, there never was a lot of people around! Don’t see why you want on the menu-just ask and they can most likely provide. If you are a foodie, or need a ton of options, might not be right for You. There is just 2 restaurants, but they have a nice selection of menu items, it changed most days, and again if you ask they will meet most requests. 5 days and nights we found plenty of options, and we felt portions were fine, and quality/taste was good. We certainly didn’t lose weight! Karen was our concierge and anything we needed she saw to right away. Not everything was perfect. We struggled to figure out the hot water, the fixtures were a little odd and unmarked, and operated opposite from our first room to our second. But once we puzzled it out we had plenty of very hot water. A remote needed a battery, the shade remote was temperamental, but a smack or 2 and it would work. The big issue was 3rd day…the A/C quit working. We were leaving for the day for our one big excursion of the trip, and they assured us it would be fixed. We got back, they thought it was fixed, but it wasn’t. Maintenance immediately came back, worked on it for a while, and declared it beyond repair. But they immediately moved us to another room, so can’t complain too much, things happen. If you want a quiet, relaxing stay with great personal service, an amazing room, and not a lot of people around, this is a great choice. We are already planning a return trip in a few months

Die Reise war geschäftlich, sodass das Hotel für Entspannung**** in diesen Zeiten gerüstet ist. Ich empfehle es wirklich, sehr ruhig, sauber, hervorragende Aufmerksamkeit; alles schön, um zurückzukehren.

Wir hoffen, dass sich dies wieder ändert (siehe auch Gäste), sobald wieder mehr Mitarbeiter bei steigenden Gästezahlen im Hotel tätig sind. Ausflüge werden u. a. vom Hotel angeboten, sind aber auch auf eigene Faust (mit den öffentlichen Kleinbussen, am besten die Expressbusse nehmen) möglich. Fahrzeit bis nach Playa del Carmen ca. 20 Minuten, bis nach Puerto Morales (Strand) ebenso. Verpflegung: Das Hotel bietet auch unter Corona Bedingungen eine 1 a mit Sternchen Verpflegung, der Service ist auf sehr hohem Niveau, orientiert sich aber an US-amerikanischen Standards (Teller werden z. B. ultraschnell abgeräumt). Morgens und mittags/ tagsüber werden Speisen  a la Carte oder am Buffet angeboten: frisch zubereitete Gerichte (teilweise Showcooking), nach wie vor sehr gute Auswahl, wenngleich geringer als vor Corona. Am Buffet wird man ebenfalls bedient, so dass die Hygiene ausreichend gewährleistet ist. An den Pools gibt es tagsüber ergänzend ein Speisenangebot, das man ”edles Fast Food” nennen könnte. Abends stehen 5 Restaurants zur Auswahl, alle auf sehr hohem Niveau, leider sind die Speisen nicht immer so heiß wie sie sein dürften. Geschmacklich und von der Verarbeitung / Präsentation dennoch 5 Sterne. Getränke: Was das Herz begehrt, jeglichen  Cocktail (nicht alkoholisch und alkoholisch), Säfte, Kaltgetränke, Kaffeespezialitäten... Zwei rote und zwei weiße Hausweine stehen kostenlos zur Verfügung und sind durchaus zu empfehlen. Hinweis: Kaltgetränke werden gern mit sehr viel Eis angeboten, hier empfiehlt sich, explizit mit wenig Eis zu bestellen. Zimmer: Wir hatten wieder ein Deluxe Zimmer,  welches für unsere Bedürfnisse absolut ausreicht. Sie sind geräumig und werden sehr sauber gehalten. Unser erstes Zimmer lag zum Weg, war laut (siehe Gäste), uns wurde schnell ein anderes Zimmer angeboten. Service: Massage u. ä. orientiert sich an dem US-amerikanischen Preisgefüge, irre teuer, haben wir daher nicht genutzt. Roomservice steht auch zur Verfügung, ebenso ein sog. Privilege Club mit besonderem Service (z. B. besondere Strandliegen). Beides haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen. Eine hauseigene Wäscherei übernimmt zu günstigen Konditionen die Reinigung der eigenen Kleidung. Sport: Es gibt ein sehr umfangreiches Sportangebot: Tischtennis und Tennisplätze (Schläger und Bälle werden unentgeltlich zur Verfügung gestellt), Wassergymnastik und Pool-Biking (nicht ausprobiert), ein augenscheinlich gut

I recently returned home from an incredible trip to the El Dorado Casitas! If you are looking for an absolutely beautiful resort with top notch service, look no further. I visited the Casitas with one of my best friends and we left feeling relaxed and our hearts happy (but also sad to have left and head back to reality). We all know that the world is not the easiest place to exist right now, so an escape to paradise always make you feel a little bit lighter. In summary, the people of El Dorado make it one of the best places in Mexico to visit. Every employee goes above and beyond to make sure every guest’s stay is comfortable and enjoyable. In addition to the people, the resort grounds and restaurants/bars are the ultimate place to escape. To start with, Lomas was on point at the Cancun airport and we had no issues checking in with the Lomas team and hopping in our private transportation to the resort. We arrived at El Dorado and were immediately greeted by both the Albertos and Leo to take our bags and escort us over to the Casita Lounge for check in. The lobby crew are so welcoming, friendly, and efficient! Later in our trip, we were able to easily locate the Lomas representative on the resort and confirm our transport back to the airport prior to the end of our trip. We had an early morning Lomas pickup (5:05am) which we were nervous about them forgetting to pick us up, but the bell boy was right on time to pick us up from our room around 4:30am and Lomas showed up right on time as well with zero issues. Our room (a swim-up casita) was very comfortable, fresh, and clean! The one “issue” we experienced throughout our week long trip was related to the bathroom towel situation. Multiple times we hardly had any washcloths/hand towels and there was one day we did not get any bath towels for the shower. However, we easily popped into the Casita lounge and asked for some towels then when we came back to our room they had left some for us. But this was not anything at all that took away from our trip - just a minor inconvenience that was easily rectified. The pools were very clean (we saw Arturo working hard in the Casitas) and free of debris as was the beach! There are so many individual workers all over El Dorado working to keep the grounds stunning and they deserve such a huge shoutout. They are always all so friendly - it is a gorgeous resort to walk around and many “hola!”s to be exchanged with every employee/guest you pass by. Our room was in section 30 where Eduardo was the pool bartender and he was awesome! Always so friendly and made the most delicious margaritas on the rocks. We had Ramon and Jose a few days as beach butlers in that section and they were rockstars. Both were so outgoing with very positive attitudes and made sure we had towels and plenty of mimosas to sip on the beach. Our room was also situated close to Gaviotas the beach bar in the Casitas which is the most perfect place to sit and enjoy some music

Wir haben uns im Oktober 2021 für eine Freundin gemeldet und werden für diese Bewertung spezifische Hochzeitsartikel aufbewahren. Es gibt viele Aktivitäten im Komplex, aber wir kamen zu Freunden, hängen am Pool, essen und trinken. Insgesamt passt dies den Kriterien. In dieser Zeit war es immer noch sehr nass, aber perfekt für im Pool zu sein (nicht notwendigerweise ein Hochzeitskleid!) Zimmerservice ist bequem, aber nicht immer schnell, vor allem spät in der Nacht. Ich denke 2 Stunden+ für uns eine Nacht. Das Zimmerservice-Essen war besser als einige der Restaurants meiner Meinung nach. Wir gingen nur zum Vorbruch auf den Strand. Sie gehen durch die COVID-Tests, wenn Sie sich anmelden.

Unfortunately for us our booking coincided with the hurricane so we arrived a day late but that is the fault of Mother Nature! We visited when the resort first opened and were blown away with the place so we had no hesitation in booking again for my 50th birthday trip. The rooms are definitely worn down a little now and the room albeit functional in every aspect had a very stale smell upon arrival. This did get better because we basically had the air con on ALL the time! The fridge had soft drinks and beer but nothing for me, no wine. Coffee was available in the room which was a plus. The restaurants were very good, our favourite the Italia Castitas was our favourite closely followed by Kampai and Haab. Jade wasn’t particularly good and our steak at Santa Fe was extremely fatty. Breakfast buffet was great and food at the Palms on the terrace was very good. Lunch time buffet wasn’t very good - twice my husband was served an exceptionally rare burger without asking for it that way and I had salmon that was seriously undercooked and could not eat. Considering this is a family resort I found this shocking. The bars….. Sling bar was just horrendous. The first time we went in there I asked for a bar menu and was told they don’t have a drinks list. I asked for a Bellini and he shook his head and said he didn’t know what that was - amazing seeing as they have a bar called Bellinis! I had to tell him what it has in it! We went another couple of times for a drink before our evening meal and there was no bar staff to be seen anywhere, we left after 10 minutes. Bellinis bar was fabulous but again no drinks list, the only bar in the resort we found one was the pool bar where the service was fantastic. The swing bar was lovely. We had a fabulous trip for my birthday but despite my husband telling a number of people, no extra effort went into my celebration, by the way of our room or at the restaurant. Just a small ****** but it would have been nice to have been made feel special as we have previously at other resorts. We spent our time mainly on the beach but when I say beach it’s very very small, if the beach is your thing then this resort is not for you. The staff keep on top of the seaweed but the concrete blocks are an eyesore. The eldorado resorts have even less beach it’s more or less straight from concrete to sea. That said I did enjoy my morning walk along the coast. We had an amazing week but I doubt we will return if I’m honest. Louis was our favourite staff member he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
