We spent three nights (July 8-11) at Sheepscot Harbour Village Resort (Suite 301). We had been excited to stay there after viewing their website and the attractive photos of the suite. But what a surprise when we entered. The rooms are dark and dank, even on sunny days. There is black mold visible across the bathroom ceiling and, one suspects, less visible throughout the apartment. Each time we stepped outside, we found the air fresh and pleasant - no matter the actual weather - compared to the stale, dank interior. To pay a hotel for the privilege of staying in such quarters is dismaying. The room needs to be renovated, and a new air system installed. Until then, it should not be inhabited as it is a public health hazard. We tried to contact the owners (sent a detailed e-mail) about our concerns and looked for them at the front desk when we left (no one around), but never had any response from them about this most disappointing stay.
