Luna Domes

A very comfortable and relaxing place for a getaway with your loved ones. It was a first time experience and I must say it was a wonderful, and even magical with a fireplace. The hottub was very relaxing with an amazing view. However, the bathroom was outdoor, and disappointed with the fact that slippers were not provided, and we weren't advised to bring ones.

We stayed last month to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it was an absolutely amazing experience. We took our 2 young children and all had the best time. The experience is completely unique and every detail has been thought of. There is literally nothing that could have been better. The accommodation is immaculate and so carefully planned. The equipment was all so easy to use and everything came with easy to follow instructions. The only thing to consider is that it is quite a way to a supermarket and you really do need to take all food supplies as you can’t really ‘pop’ to a shop for anything. If you’re looking for a really luxurious stay away from everything this is so worth booking. The staff we booked through were so helpful and actually made a dome available for us. Would definitely stay again.

Wow! What an incredible luxurious way to celebrate my husband turning 40 with the whole family (2 children and a small dog) From the moment we pulled up to the moment we left we were all full of smiles 😊 I pre-ordered the meat and cheese bundle for our relaxing evening by the warm fire. We then woke up to a lovely pre-ordered salmon breakfast bundle all finely selected from local supplies. Even our dog was treated with a box of goodies which was a nice surprise! We honestly cannot fault this unique experience, modern decor, clean and echo friendly. We will definitely stay again.

We stayed in the Chartwell dome at Luna Domes, and honestly, it was such a special experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed—the setting is breathtaking, with gorgeous views, peaceful surroundings, and total privacy. The dome itself is beautifully designed, with cozy yet stylish interiors, plush bedding, and thoughtful touches everywhere that made it feel luxurious but still warm and welcoming. We loved spending mornings on the deck with coffee, and evenings inside the hot tub!—it was the perfect escape from everyday life with my partner.

Having contacted the company 4 times now in the hope of getting a response, and yet receiving none, I feel the need to write a review which outlines issues we had at luna domes. We recently stayed in the Chartwell dome and were very disappointed with many aspects of our stay, considering the cost. The cleanliness was a real issue. When we tried to use the hot tub it the bottom and sides of the inside of the tub were grimy and dirty- there was brown scum on the top. I have taken pictures in case you need to see them. Once we realised how dirty the tub and water were, we couldn’t use it again. The fridge was broken. There was no shelf in the door, as it had snapped off. We reported this at the time, only to be told that there was nothing that could be done. The fridge was also dirty. In the dustpan by the bin was a broken glass- it hadn’t been removed by the cleaners. We reported this too. We were given a number for the site manager as in our email we were told to contact them with our concerns. We tried calling- there was no answer. The faux fur throws and cushions clearly hadn’t been washed- one had a mark on. The knitted throw had a coffee stain on it. This still smelled of coffee. Despite the fact that we had booked for 4, there was no proper duvet on the mezzanine bed, only a duvet cover. There was a sign on the ladder telling us not to use the bed. The curtains had come off the rings/fastenings in a few places, so they didn’t hang without gaping open at the top. The sink area was very much in need of repair. The worktop around the sink was so water damaged it was unhygienic. There were bits of food in the sink from the previous holiday makers I assume. The coffee machine was faulty, and the tray leaked. It was on the shelf up high so couldn’t easily be used either. When we got there, it was full of used pods from previous guests so we had to clear it out. Not something we would expect to have to do. The floor inside the dome was very grubby- under the bed was a lot of rubbish- tissues, crumbs etc. The luna domes kids drawing pack had already been used and drawn in. outside, the ignition button on the barbecue was no longer working. We were still able to use it without, but it needs sorting. We had to clean the barbecue before we used it. The outdoor table was so wobbly it was practically unusable. The bathroom sink appeared clean, but on closer inspection, there was a set of false eyelashes by the taps. As you have pointed out in other reviews, the sound of some planes overhead is inevitable, but during our stay, the planes were very, very noticeable until 3 in the morning. It ruined what should have been a good nights sleep, as the beds in fact were extremely comfortable. The noise was unbelievable. A couple of bits of crockery were chipped - not a deal breaker, but so easily replaced. The bedside table was in need of repair, and the wood had chipped.
