Best Bear Lodge & Campground

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in the Over Yonder cabin at Best Bear! We initially chose it due to its close proximity to groomed trails for ATV’ing and snowmobiling. The cabin was squeaky clean and well-appointed, with everything you could want for a weekend up north! (As a mom, I totally appreciated the full kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, AND range/oven - complete with dishes, pots/pans, and silverware!). The owners went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of, and were so remarkably and genuinely kind to us when we had car and ATV trouble. I can’t say enough about how lovely they were to my family. Not to mention, they’ve got a great on-site event center with entertainment and meal specials! We can’t wait to go back to explore more of this hidden gem in northern MI!

Staff was super friendly and took great care of our group of 23. Some camped and others rented a cabin. Campground could use a little grooming, but we went for the ORV rentals and to relax and it was great. The Rhinestone event center that was right on sight was super clean and if you don’t want to cook they have you covered. Also our group was all ages from 1 to 60 yrs old

If you are looking for the Hilton or the Clarion, look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a clean, friendly, campground.... this is the place for you! Matt & Carrie are absolutely the BEST hosts ever and the facilities are all that you would want. The beds are comfortable and everything you need is right there. And they certainly know how to have fun!

Had a great time at the cabin and in the trails. Brother brought his RZR and we rented one from Best Bear. They really seem to care about your experience and accommodated us any way they could. Great experience and great people working there. Thanks again!

If you’re looking for the friendliest staff and clean campground we highly recommend Best Bear! We rented side by sides and had great experiences riding the most beautiful trails. We will be returning. May even book a cabin so we can snowmobile next winter. Easy pull through sites with camper or rv. Clean grounds and bath houses. Fun parties and the sweetest owners ever. They will help you out all hours of the night or day!

Carrie was the most friendly and hospitable owner we have ever seen. She introduced us how the RV cabin worked. We were impressed how clean the RV inside was. It had all kitchenware, stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, pans, pots, dishes, etc. She even invited us to join the weekly weekend campground party. It was a fun night and good food. They also had ORV rental. Maybe we will try it next time.
