"Our first impression of the hotel was good. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. However, that’s basically it for the positives. There was no tv service for 2 days There was a snow storm the first day but the second day was nice and sunny so not sure what the problem was. We also booked this hotel based on previous reviews of the breakfast. We were so disappointed. No mix for the waffle maker, only some over salted sausage, hard bread. No fruit and just orange juice in a plastic container. It was really the worst continental breakfast I have ever had. The lady working the kitchen was visibly frustrated which made it even worse. I won’t be staying here again. There are so many other places to choose from."

"This was our accommodation before heading to Carlsbad. The location was great, and the management was decent. Since we arrived on a Sunday, none of the nearby restaurants were open, so we had to drive about 20 minutes to a neighboring town for a meal. If you have a morning timed entry for Carlsbad, I would recommend staying at this place."

"I can’t say enough good things about this place! The hotel is beautiful and the area felt safe. I stayed in a suite, great room, very spacious and clean. I loved the room! Well maintained and it definitely felt like they take pride in what they do. Amanda and Nicole were very helpful and kind. All the staff were the same. Breakfast was good, lots of options from waffles, biscuits and gravy, bagels, eggs and more. Great location, close to Walmart, restaurants and the Bulldog Bowl. I stayed in total, 4 days. I goofed up and drove off without my suitcase♀️ when I finally realized it I was almost 3 hours away. I called and they had already found it outside and put it up in a safe place. We were not able to get back there till the following weekend. They were so gracious and helpful! They stored my suitcase until I could return. I have so much appreciation for people that go above and beyond for others and they definitely do here! You will not be disappointed. This is our place from now on when we go to Artesia. Thanks again for being awesome!! Appreciate you all so much!"

"This was a great hotel to use if you are planning to visit Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe National Park. It’s right off the main drag but use your GPS if you come in off of Patrick. The entrance off of 62 takes you right there but it’s very bumpy right now. The hotel was very nice as was the breakfast."
