We arrived at the accommodation and it said 80 Euro for a double bed. I called their number and a lady answered. I asked if they had availability for 2 adults and 1 child (4 year old who sleeps with her parents) to sleep in a double bed. The first question they asked was whether we wanted breakfast, but we didn't need it. Then they quoted me 100 euro for a triple room only if I paid cash, because they charge 80 euro for a double room but then they charge an extra 20 euro for a 4 year old child even though the child would be sleeping in the same bed with their parents, and even though they would only accept cash for that deal. Meanwhile they still had a double bed available advertised on *********** for two adults at the same time when I got the quote over the phone, so I knew they had a double bed available and were trying to leech an extra 20 Euro to enforce a third bed requirement for a child. Even if you make a booking you have to wait 15 min outside in the cold if you want to check-in at 7:30pm on a weekday for them. Meanwhile Ibis Budget Bamberg in town allows kids to stay for free since they consider children adults only once they're 12 years or older. At Ibis Budget Bamberg they had a triple bedroom for only 72.45 euro, plus an extra 7 Euro for 24 hour parking.
